David the door chime is part of the instrument cluster on the mk4, I just wired up the door contact switch to the instrument cluster and removed the original door chime....I find that mk4 chime to be much less obnoxious than the original, it doesn't chime when key is in accessory position (only ON), and it times out after like 60 seconds.
It wasn't too hard to hook it up, just a matter of matching up the mk3 wiring to the appropriate mk4 wires on the cluster harness... It's completely functional but I would actually like to clean the wiring up a bit. Right now I'm actually working on swapping in a whole mk4 dashboard to really complete the look!
The mk4 remote actually goes to a keyless entry system from Right Click (www.rclick.co.uk) and is piggybacked to the vacuum pump in the back for the locks.
Dominick Rutolo thats actually for a system from RightClick in the UK 🇬🇧. I actually did a complete mk4 dashboard swap on the car after this and changed the locks to use a mk4 sidewinder key. The car was recently totalled though and I pulled the whole system out of the car and it's for sale, if anyone wants it!
