Pro track cyclist, Mandy Marquardt (31), is a 25-time US national champion, a 3-time American record holder, and an olympic hopeful living with type 1 diabetes.
Diagnosed at age 16, Mandy understands the fear and uncertainty that often comes with a diabetes diagnosis. “Back then I was afraid…at 16 you just want to be normal” says Mandy, who has made it her mission to be a role model for people affected by diabetes and inspire them to pursue their dreams.
Mandy is passionate about pursuing her sport at the highest level with integrity and balance, while continuing to share positive messages.
In addition, she is currently pursuing her MBA with Pennsylvania State University’s Smeal College of Business.
