Once you've tripped enough you can easily dip your toes into psychedelia land by just letting go and shifting your mind, even without the intervention of substances. Once you've seen behind the curtain, you know where the break in the curtain lies.
Some of my first LSD experiences I put this on and sent me flying to other dimensions for sure. Planning to drop some lsd later and revive this experience once more. It's pure psychodelia
Sorry about loosing your friend. I have lost 3, but none of them heard of this band. Actually, this is my first time ever. I'm 64 but never to late to get into a new band!
My oldest and best fiend died in 2017, he introduced me to Shpongle. My ex had spun my head out when I was tripping. I ran to my friends house, laid on his bed and went in and out of his speakers and around the room for the entire tales of the inexpressible. ❤️
I concur. This was one of the two Shpongle albums I had accompany me on my journey and the experience was quite something. Decriminalizing is the only logical next step for these mind expanding tools.

I was watching 2 guys playing pan drums and reminded me of shpongle which i haven't heard in years. i think people are psychotic enough out there to be listening to this lol
Imagine a field of study one day that examines all the different forms of "consciousness" that arose on the Earth and beyond. How beings interpret the universe, what they sense, what they think, how they interpret, what the results are... there is so much potential to learning everywhere!
@@adawg3032 For us and most life we know of currently, that is. What about among the stars and beyond? Not dismissing neurology, it's important, and evidence shows much of what you speak. With that being said, we can't immediately assume all life will even have a neural system. It might not make much sense to say that, yet, we do have to consider nearly limitless possibilities on the physical forms on which consciousness can attach itself to.
Damn, I forgot how well produced Shpongle is! I'm not a musician, so maybe "mixed" would be the better word, but even in the first few seconds it's obvious how clean the sound is. Along with Infected Mushroom, these guys are some of the most creative AND technically proficient electronic artists I've ever heard.
Been listening to Shpongle for over 10 years now. Not everyday, but I always come to listen once in a while. It always trips me out how good they are. There is literally nothing else like this in the world. They used to be my go to for trippy stuff when I used to dab heavy into psychedelics in my early 20's. 30 now, and lots of cannabis later. These guys are still great.
There are thousands of unknown dudes which are very talented and have their own ways of working with the wonder of the audible frequencies... But I never heard a mix like this on youtube as well
I remember tripping to this at the end of a big festival in 2017. Had it playing on my phone. Damn, felt like I made a call to the universe instead and it granted me with its serene shpongleness.
Played this yesterday while candyflipping with my wife high up in a foggy mountain top watching the sunrise. Life changing, breath taking, mind numbingly ecstatic. Love and respect to all fellow travellers from india.
This group is something special . Even those who haven't tripped in a while or never have get hooked . They are hypnotic and phenomenal. I must shroom to them soon.....
I remember when this was recommended to me 5 years ago for my first experience. To think it’s been that long all ready. I’m ready again. Hello. I’m all aboard.
@@randolfo1265 Yes it was a CD. albums usually don't come on DVD or Blu-ray. Just imagine you could probably fit in an artist's entire lifetime works on a single Blu-ray but that's not a thing also probably in lossless format too something higher quality than CD audio. Actually don't know about the lossless part but definitely if they were all regular CD quality considering a CD can already hold like 20 normal 3 ish min songs. Actually I'm confused because I've seen albums that have two CDs and yet each one only has like 10 songs wtf? Also You had to go on Sunday If you wanted them to be 50 cents otherwise they were a dollar now they still do half off but they up to the price of the CDs I don't remember how much but I'm pretty sure it was less than $2 on normal days.
@@bland9876 - Sometimes a double album from the vinyl days would come out on 2 CDs, even if they might fit on one. Probably so the buyer would perceive greater value.

Shaddap and just take 1 mushroom (blue meanies) and you won't regret it. I know this music is awesome sober. But I'm sick n tired of y'all sober minds, thinking they can imagine the psychedelic experience with the sober mind. Psychedelics aren't evil drugs that you might have led to believe. They can be challenging from the trip itself. But hey, always take em with respect. Always take small portions, before you challenge yourself to a mind altering trip . The best of us always started small, respecting your own comfort zone. Believe me on this one.... respect and honor goes a long way, in almost every aspect of life. And I say that as a friend, I promise. Get to know the shrooms first before you expand into higher stuff like Shpongle.
This is truly sublime. Anyone that has not yet experienced this journey is yet to live. Fantastic for morning, mid-day or to wind down in the evening. Just incredible.
This music is truly an art form that so avant guard and delicious! It makes you want more. I'm always looking for something different in sound expression. This is truly sublime. Anyone that has not yet experienced this journey is yet to live. Fantastic for morning, mid-day or to wind down in the evening. Just incredible. Those who had been shpongled -- cannot be unshpongled!
Was always my go to album when I was melting away in an acid delirium in my teens. Always sounded so earthly and natural, what a beautiful album. Nothing like it!
I've always liked Shpongle, but the other day I put on this album after taking 55mg 2CB -- just WOW! mindblown over how tf they knew how to create this music so that it will transcend in such a state... When you know you know:D
In my very humble opinion, this album is the greatest production of sound ever. Granted I was out of my mind when I heard it, so take this statement with a pinch of salt.
The main drum line that starts just before 3 minutes is probably the most memorable best part of Brain in a Fishtank. I don't even know if it's humanly playable by one person but hey. The complexity is just entrancing for a very noisy mind like mine; the only way to really relax me is to fill my brain up with something complex yet unstressful.
35:14 I'm on the borders between delights I feel my heart streams blood down on us Blood's always, still, behind it all The softest cushion for our fall Our topple, our tumble, our spiral from grace We're held together, yet out of place Beyond the veil lies a frequency Suggesting a wisp of sweet ecstasy
Revelation and Initiation In a package. I'm speechless about how this album never tires me down. It's one of a kind experience to ever feel this warm fuzzy, alienating feelings. Thank you Love and Peace.
That very first introduction bass drop is sooooo good ! Powerfull stuff !! Awesomely perfect ! Perfect. ¡ Buetifull ! But somewhat very personaly intimate.. . Mystical.. id defo go dancing again to this.... Miss music... And here it is again.. tears !!
"This is a story, of a museum, of consciousness." That reminds me of a dream I had, well before I did shrooms. It was like a mall, but every store was either beautiful treasures beyond measure, or undescribable wonders stacked on top one another no matter where I looked. I wandered the store, and when I felt overwhelmed, someone came to guide me. I tried to follow them, but they went too far, and I was lost on a starecase, blinded by the next floor's wonders beyond my understanding.
Yay that I can have a listen to this album whilst substitute teaching high school freshman Biology. One ear bud in of course, i cant wait to hear with both pods in, and yes, i am sober af, smiling innocently, but little do they know how kiki is delivering this service
If you want to expand your mind, you need information to be poured into you. I recommend giving a listen to Greydon Square, he's a hip hop artist, but completely different to other hop hop artists. His lyrics can opening new understanding and really get you thinking.
@@WhoThisMonkey could you suggest me any great album or i dont know special track if u have few today im going to use lsd and i really want to dig into some tracks i already have many but extra wouldnt be bad ;d
On my first ever trip, I was nearing the end of the experience, when I realized I hadn't listened to any music! I searched "acid music" (lol), and this was the first result at the time. I think the album had just dropped. What a crazy moment. It unlocked something in my head in regards to music, I turned heavy on to jam bands. But I still throw stuff like this on from time to time to feel that nostalgia of a first trip
@@zanziboi Another person with 0 knowledge on drugs saying "you shouldnt do LSD" thinking it has the same effect with Heroin and Meth. Please continue we are so interested in your useless opinion.
You know... :) just chillin' with weed at evening listening to this wonderfull music. Peace bro :P Edit: Anyone scrolling down trough the comments while tripping? :D
Shpongle makes me want to go out and show the world how music (not lyrics) can literally make you feel every emotion. A lot of shpongle albums do that to me, and it’s absolutely insane to me! ….but then I ground myself back to reality and realize, telling the world about this means they may go mainstream. Let’s not let that happen
The works of a composers lives from the gaze that is given to it. It is not limited to what it is, nor to the one who produced it, it is also made by the one who hears it. Music, painting and sculpture are a space of questioning and meditation where the senses that we attribute to it can come and be done and be undone at any time✨ Shpongle does neither Art for the sake of art, nor of Art against art but for Art which has nothing to do with art, because the Art has everything to do with existence, it’s nuts ! 🕊🙂
This music is truly an art form that so avant guard and delicious! It makes you want more. I'm always looking for something different in sound expression.
Took three ecstacy last night, listened to this full album, holy fuck I thought rave music was the way to go on ecstacy, I was so wrong this stuff is unlike any other, beautiful
love u man!! literally i dont have a clue who u are but i love u with all my heart, dipping ur foot in to the ocean of consciousness to get a feel for it then just dive in, u know when u do it in water and its cold and i say "i can either take 5 miniuets slowly getting in or i can just run and jump? just run and jump my man we'll catch u" Big Love man from island of U.K.
@@jafacake8211 weird i dont remember commenting hmmm hehe Get ready im JUMPING IN hope the waters are not too deep but now i trust you i trust you and the universe
Tickling The Amygdala is an amazing track the production and stereo image phasing is crazy. Super psychedelic track accompanied by Raja's alto flute solo.
I absolutely love this ! I've been listening all day while doing my garden ,planting and putting plants in water to root ! Have not watched a single video on youtube all day!
Never tried a single psychedelic in my life, heard aquatic garden as background music in some educational video series about Russian painters (???) and it blew me away. Didn’t need anything to be euphoric just listening to this enchantment of a track.
It's 4.45am...UK....Thursday 13 January 2022. 15 minutes ago I'd never heard of Sphongle. I'm from a completely difference era, way back in space and time. Was dropping acid when Gong's Flying Teapot was a new album. We were all pot head pixies back then! From there to Tangerine Dream, Pink Floyd, Steve Hillage. I stopped taking acid in the early 80s but the effects are still there. No longer need the drug to transport back. It opens a third eye which forever stays open! More up to date....Ozrics, Infected Mushroom and now Sphongle. Heck I've moved on some years back, I'm old (just months from being a pensioner!). Now it's counterpoint and fugues.....complicated and mathematical in a way this type of music never was. Once you've tried J S Bach (on huge Cathedral pipe organ) there's no going back.....trust me, in time you'll get here too. Happy journey. 💖
