This was my first qualifying lap, the worst out of the two as I fell. The second one was a full clean lap and only 35 seconds off the fastest lap from the qualifying. I came 18th, and qualified for the heats. So, I was pretty happy with that. I pressed the record button, but it didn't record. I was supposed to be racing on my new vesc that I picked up at the event. It died on me after 2 hours of riding from the first group ride. It had no power coming from the battery, so it's gone back to the battery builder. Sad times! I was super bummed that I couldn't ride it, that vesc would smashed it around that track! My GT battery has also died, so I couldn't ride that. Luckily, I took my xr with me just in case. I'm glad I did, so I could race at least. I don't ride trails much on the xr. Even the GT would have been quicker, because I'm much more used to riding that on trials, and push back doesn't hit till a higher speed. I'm also nursing an ACJ grade 3 injury on my left shoulder, riding the xr at its limits on bumpy grass wasn't ideal. It was a fun track, I loved the features. Great work from all the team, thanks guys, and girls! for an awesome weekend!!! See you on the next one!
