Holy crap, did you hear the malice in his voice when he said he doesn't care what everyone likes? Say what you will about Shrek's acting, but he was amazing in this scene
Obi Wan: I have failed you, Shrek. I have failed you. Shrek: I should have known the fairy tale creaturea were plotting to take over Duloc! Obi Wan: Shrek, Lord Farquaad is evil! Shrek: From my point of view, the fairy tale creatures are evil! Obi Wan: Then, you are lost!
I was so surprised when John Wick comes back after Shrek killed his dog and blew up his house. The emotion from Shrek as he realizes his mistakes is breathtaking.
@@life_is_a_myth Would you prefer, "I don't care what the majority likes?" Equally true, but far less catchy, and ludicrously pedantic. What kind of argument are you even trying to make? Are you saying that the strength of democracy lies in the absence of consensus? Are you championing the tyranny of the majority? Or are you not actually defending democracy at all, but simply accusing me of not understanding how it works?
“I DON’T CARE WHAT EVERYONE LIKES!” Wow, that performance really makes you almost feel the agony and pain Shrek is in. It’s haunting, sincere, and raw, and it’s also sad when you think about how he died later in the Avengers arc. In the end he really did care about what everyone liked coz he died protecting it.
Obi-Wan: “Only a Sith deals in absolutes. I’ll do what I must.” Shrek: “Can’t we settle this over a pint? *Obi-Wan ignites lightsaber* Shrek: “ No???? Okay then....COME ON!” *Bad Reputation starts*
Catalyst no a moral relavist would say palpatine isn’t immoral bc his morals are only relative to what he was taught and surrounded by. Obi wan is saying palpatine is evil bc he is lol
@Catalyst the rejection of the existence of absolutes leads to moral relativism. However, you can believe that there are objective moral standards without dealing in absolutes. As a moral agent, you need to consider the fringes of our complex reality. Absolutes or ultimatums downplay these fringes and attempt to paint everything as black and white. While certain things may be absolutely right or wrong, your belief that absolutes exist does not necessitate you to always deal in absolutes.
Bill Gates: its fascinating to imagine the amazing things people will do with their computers in 30 years. 2020: Shrek argues with Obi-wan on Mustafar.
@@beckaldo8741 I can agree with you there. I love me some Warhammer. But the point this guys comment was making is that people are still making amazing things like this video, its just this is probably not in the form Bill Gates expected. As he always said though, "A surprise to be sure but a welcome one" ~Bill gates 2020
1:40 *This is powerful, the pain in John Wick's strained voice as he points his weapon towards one of his only friends.* *The betrayel that paints across Shrek's face as he sees who's pointing the gun. John Wick fights away the tears tightening his grip and hardening his heart.* *This man wasn't the man John called a friend and he knew that. But what he didn't know was that the last piece of Shrek died when he pointed that gun at him.* *Shrek never wanted to kill Fiona, Shrek loved her dearly. But fear in of losing the swamp, he lost himself along with it.*
@@drewg4323 Monarchy, because in monarchy, people who come to power are being taught to rule since they're children. However, if they happen to come to power when they're children, the state still gets to be ruled by the court who are experienced in ruling the country until they come of age to rule. In democracy, people who come to power are experienced in intricacies, not in ruling.
Shrek the son of Yoda and one of the most powerful forces in the universe. As strong as a base level Thanos with no infinity stones. And John Wick an expert assassin, killer with one of the best arsenals known to man and a dead dog. That's like a fight between Hawkeye and Thor. We all know who would win. John Wick is just a man. Don't get me wrong he's incredibly skilled and good enough to be on the Avengers but he's no Shrek.
No, it's exactly, word for word how it went. It's taken straight from Episode III: Revenge of the Onions. I'm surprised it hasn't been copyright struck yet.
