I love the intro music and hearing you announce yourself at the start of each of your videos. I often just play the beginnings over and over because I love it soo much.
I loved the instructions encouraging people to taste as they go. It always drives me crazy when people want the exact amounts of seasoning in a recipe for fear that it might explode if they get it wrong . It's only food and yours, as always, is impeccable.
I know the post was a while back but I have made this side so many times. It is always a hit. One of my favorite food wishes posts - they are all great.
I made this for our family get together and it was the first thing that was eaten. Family loved it now my siblings are like can you make that shrimp salad. New family fav. Thanks for sharing.
OMG I made this earlier today in preparation for a BBQ tomorrow. But now I just got back from the bars annnnnnd I'm eating the whole fucking thing. Sooooooo delish! Screw the party.
You have inspired me! I could do a halve recipe for the week for lunches. I was looking for something else to keep going. I have lost 40 lbs by keeping lunch light, and this will help. I need a really flavorful but satisfying meal and this fits the bill! I was looking for something with shellfish. Thank you.
Such an awesome shrimp & pasta salad recipe, in taste. Me & my family can't seem to get enough of it this Summer. I'm still making more and more & the summer is nearly over... I just love macaroni salad and this recipe is just on top. Tysm for this recipe, probably will continue making it wayyyyy after the summer is over...
Chef John makes everything seem so basic. Love it. Good to see that 99% of viewers like chef John. Other 1% must have seafood allergies or came looking for Bob Ross video.
Chef I absolutely LOVE the way you talk and that's 70% of the reason I love your recipes. i love seafood pasta salad will try this one this weekend for sure :D
I made this for a 4th of July Barbeque I attended at the last minute....it was a hit!!! Of the 12 guests...3 emailed me afterwards for the recipes....only mistake I made was not to have tripled the recipe. I did add one a shallot diced really fine..but as the Chef says...add whatever you want..it is your salad...this is definitely a keeper....
Just made this...FREAKING awesome!!! The tangyness of the lemon is PERFECT! I might not have used enough shrimp but it's good none the less :) highly recommend this!!!
Chef John, Your mission is to bring us lovely food and show that cooking is more than a recipe. And you have fully accomplished that!! Thank You & All the Best, Eat a Treat
I add 1/3c sour cream just before serving the chilled pasta. mix it in well. It paasta seems too dry add a Tablespoon of ice water or.Adds just a hint of creaminess. You can also use 1/3c of plain yoghert instead of the sour cream if you are concerned about cholesterol.
My family buys pasta salad all the time but never finishes eating it and its sits in the fridge until it goes bad...i made this and everyone wanted more...thank you for this wonderful simple recipe
Just would like Jon to know that the school I'm in shows some of your videos in our cafeteria on the broadcasting screens. Nice to watch while having a meal. Keep up the good work!
I am so glad I found your channel a few days ago. I've already tried one of your recipes and I am so excited to try more! This looks divine! Thank you!!
I'm making this tonight, with one added ingredient..a shake or two of Old Bay. Can't wait to get in the kitchen. Oh, and I like a little horseradish so I'm using cocktail sauce instead of ketchup.
I have been making this for years. We love it . The sauce is so versatile. I sometimes use chicken or tuna instead of shrimp. For a little extra zip especially if you need to reduce the salt is to throw the lemon rinds in the boiling water for the pasta. Thanks Chef Jogn
I KNEW you'd want more Cayenne :) I was cooking this in my head and I actually though that there was no way that quantity of cayenne would be quite enough.
