"Let's Shuffle Up".!!!! But Wait: I'm still learning the running man. I do feel good because I was in the kitchen practicing a little bit ago and my thirty-year-old grown ass son walks in the door and ask "what are you doing Mom The Running Man???" music to my ears. Me replying with A LOT of excitement: "did you really ask me that??" I call that a WIN in my book...whohooo!!
Thanks again Emylee -I was turning my body, raising my heel too high, etc. My multi-injured 60+ year-old knees thank you as well for considerably lessening the stress on them with the corrections.
Ah, the humble T-step, a classic. Brings back memories/I feel kind of old. I learned the Melbourne shuffle back in high school because all these other moves were not known -- essentially, all I could find and learn were the T-step and the running man. Then I went to university and didn't have time or energy to spare for dancing when LMFAO popularized shuffling and more or less introduced a bunch of rough moves that modern dancers have perfected. Now I'm getting back into it 10 years later. Youngun's starting out today are spoilt for choice.
I LOVE that you explained how you move your weight from one aide to the other. I had so much trouble understanding how I can shift my weight, so this is a huge boost in my understanding!
The in out with one leg is a big preparation for taping . I can see this also helps ballence a lot . I was leaning and twisting far too much . This helps being aware of leaning and twisting . Now I can break that habit . Ballence is very important .
Thank you, Emylee. I think it would be really helpful to do a demonstration-with music-at the very end of all your videos to show us how it looks with music playing. You’re a great teacher!
Thank you. This video is AWESOME as always :D transitioning from one direction to another when doing the t-step/rocking always trips me up but i think this helps
Great tutorial. I don't yet have enough bounce in my calf muscles to do running man but this gives me something interesting to get some balance and strength going. 👍
necro but one way to change direction is to do the kickball change, which is well used in electroswing. This consists in t-stepping out, crossing over and shifting to t-stepping the other direction.
Practicing The first part of this where you pick up your foot helps balance . I have found out that in shuffling balance is more important that I thought .
I need a stretching tutorial for shuffling. If your sitting a lot, the calves and hamstring muscles are sooo short. I cant properly step back in the running man. Love your shuffling tutorials. You could build a huge shuffle community on your channel :)
One thing I disagree with: the advice to not lean. I think it adds texture to lean, and doesn’t look as stuff. I also notice you *do* have a slight lean when you demonstrate.
Вырез декольте - самое важное в этом ролике. Можно бы и по-больше, но и так очень даже ничего. :-) The cleavage is the most important thing in this video. It would be possible and on-more, but and so very much even nothing. :-)
