In this video we see GBRf 66722 being shunted to the mainline connection prior to departure from Barrow Hill's Model Rail live show. Viewed from a different perspective! Thanks - Adam/GBRW
AH thanks for that Paul. Yeah i understand it now. I did ask some of the Db drivers i know and they said the same sort of thing. Thanks again and i enjoyed your video. :) Thanks for posting.
It will be either the engine run switch or Isolation switch. ISO switch must be in isolate to start the engine and then turned to run for power to be available - Must be in run from the cab you are driving from and isolate in all other cabs otherwise no power will be available :)
what is the switch that he turns under the driver key is it the light switch as i thought that it was on the top left panel above the driver. i sat in a 66 at railfest this year and i cant remember seeing it. ?
It’s called “iso switch” and it enables the driver to get power at that end for example heater, instrument lights etc. Upon start up of engine, if this is left UP in one of the cabs, the engine will not start. So you have to walk to the cab and flick it back down then go back to the cab your going to drive from and start the engine. Hope this helps, better late than never 😂
