Just found the earphones cheaper on amazon than the wireless adapters alone. Replace the 215's with the 425's + snugs tips I already had, perfect!

Great review. Just one question, does environment ambient mode works on both side of the bud or only the right side?

Thanks! Good question, I presume you mean the activation? If so I think it's only on one side, but that could change when the other bud is deactivated. Best checking the manual for that one. If you mean the actual feature, should work on both.

So which tws, with over the ear hook (or stabilisers like the galaxy bud fins), with aptx, earbuds would u recommend (if u can off the top of your head) as I would love these but they don't have an ip rating so sweat and rain will ruin them, that is their deal breaker for me. How can I go the gym and sweat or walk outside in the UK in these without fearing loosing my £170 investment

On top of my head, I'd think something like the Jabra Elite ACTIVE 75t; but these don't have those in-ear fins however. Other than that, I can't think of others, vs the Shure on review; at least not that I've reviewed.

While these understandably don't have ANC I wish they would implement a pass-through transparency mode because when wearing mine on public transport, the only way to hear anything like announcement etc is to take them out and that is a shame as putting these in and out are a non-trivial process given the design.

Hi! Can you make a comparison with Sony WF 1000XM3 (or how they called, Sony's naming scheme is just plain God Knows How haha). I currently rocking that Sony and my good old UE 900S. Frankly speaking UE 900S just spank Sony out of water but I recently upgrade my phone to iPhone 12 and miss 3.5 jack SO DAMN MUCH and I wonder if Shure TWS is much better than my Sony (or someday my UE will had some Bluetooth dongle, if UE makes any, LoL). Thanks in advance!

In short, yes they are in the mids, but they aren't miles better or will ever compete with wired earphones. If you really love your UEs that much, you might want to look into the iFi xDSD, use Bluetooth, and have your wired earphones being used like that... Although, the iPhone will be limited to the AAC codec which won't be great for Bluetooth transmission lol.

I find it amazing that my Mpow flame lite wireless earphones that cost £30 and are similar to these can use either the left or right on their own. Definitely a fan of the over ear hook style....hence why I love my flame lite

I believe that they don't have any IP rating, wouldn't that be a problem for the gym scenario?

Truthfully, IP ratings are only really needed if you're going to be putting it under serious water. The whole IPX4 ratings, imo are a a bit pointless. So, no it shouldn't be a problem for gym workouts!

@@groveht17 glad I could help. I'd suggest looking it up and seeing what each of those IP ratings mean, but yeah, I just don't see the whole IP + gym wear. I mean, to me, it's just marketing. Don't get me wrong there will be scenarios where you need an IP rating, but not the gym or even on a jog with light rain. Waterproof ie IPX7 is a whole other thing though, those you can dunk in water! And thanks, I'm pleased it's helping people in need :)

Could answer this shortly, but I'll give you the detailed reply: Before 2020, it was just a hobby; I did it in my free time while working full time as a journalist and prior to that, I was a PR. After I was made unexpectedly unemployed (overnight), I set up my own car publication (with the help of my mother; she's ultimately the publisher) and I revamped every aspect of my RU-vid channel to turn it into a business. My RU-vid channel (TotallydubbedHD) is my only source of income, where I make money via affiliate revenue and sponsored videos; reviews will NEVER be sponsored FYI - no matter how much a company throws towards me and/or has worked with me in the past on paid pieces, a review is purely editorial. While producing around 2-3 videos a week on TotallydubbedHD, I also write 2 detailed car reviews (car + audio system), and two car reviews a week too + manage freelancers and try to write news where possible. This is a LOT of work, but it's sustainable as I make enough to pay my rent/bills; it's not much but it's enough to get by. Then, in late 2020, Google unbanned my AdSense account where I started earning money via RU-vid ads. I made a promise to myself many years ago that if that were to happen I'd donate it to charity. And as I make just enough money to get by (despite working around 10-12hrs a day, 7 days a week), I kept my promise and from Nov 2020 till Nov 2021 all proceeds will be going to charity. Maybe in early 2022 I can start re-investing that money back into myself and/or use the money that I'll then generate on a well-earned holiday! I know you weren't expecting such a reply, but thought to share it :)
