Im a singer that sings oldies tribute shows. Rat Pack, Engelbert, Tom Jones Doowop etc. I just got the wireless 8c capsule. I’ve been using the beta 87a and love it. But this gives me the upper and mid clarity of the 87 with the “warmth” of a dymanjc mic. And I find I’m using less eq, as advertised. I’m loving this mic and would recommend it highly.
Ufff, I don't know, listening on my Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro and I can hardly hear anything better with both new mics :-/ Huge proximity "bumph" still here with every T and even W and S (???) and the singer is not even close to mic and is not singing P,B and another REALY problematic plosives. Voice sounded distorted in some parts but it sounded almost like it was peaking in recorder/interface..? It would also be helpful if there were same passages of the song with different mics cause when the vocal and piano is changing with the mics it makes everything even more hard do differentiate. Bleed from monitors was bit better with supercardioid model but as far as the monitors were set in that angle you shown us and were not changed for SC and C models, it is fairly logical - while this angled 2 monitor setup is aimed to dead places of SC pattern, it should be right behind the axis of Cardioid pattern, otherwise it is firing right to the sides where the mic is still somehow sensitive which made the whole thing even more unfair (as well as some people still placing monitor in axis with Beta 58A and wondering why they have feedback...). I don't know guys, but this review TO ME was useful only with technical stuff (which i found really interesting) but the "sound test" could have been done better in my opinion. I am very sorry for criticism and thank you for the video anyway!
yeah i get that, but honestly we call ourselves “audio engineers “ (im in that category too;) but we can’t actually “create” anything or come close to understanding the actual electrical/mechanical engineering that is required to build a mic that we “do audio engineering” with. we should respect the fact that pushing a fader or sweeping an eq that an engineer built is an incredibly simplistic skill compared to the building of the tools we use. humility on our part is required. he’s not wrong in calling us “not actual engineers “ we’re not. it just makes us feel important;) and there’s nothing wrong with that either, just accept the fact that it doesn’t take an engineering degree to do sound, but it does to build things that do sound.
i actually thought the 8C sounded better than the 8S 😐 especially when the vocal was reverberating or hanging on words - probably depends on what you like to hear (as everything with audio)
They made KSM8 not so long ago, and here are two more Neaxadyne 8 s c. They sped up, but are they good products? The price is $400 - is this microphone good, the best? Does the listener need it, will he recognize the quality?
You cant do a mic test with only high range vocals, its all the little crisp highs and full lows that make the difference and you cant hear that here. Iv'e been singing for 35 years and tried them all and I think the Sure Berta58 blows them all away except for the Neumann KS105, but the price on that is insane.
@lionofjudah4969 just because something can have a full frequency response of 20 - 20khz doesn't mean it will pick up base well, they need to adjust the low end and boost it higher
brother pls answer my question that if rolling shutter speed is 20ms and shutter speed is 1/16sec(62ms) so brother frame has information bw 0 to 20ms brother am I right ? Thanks for your help
