I think the thing is, our brains have evolved to be problem solving machines. I've dealt with anxiety my whole life, and have often had this thing where I'll agonise over something I've got to face, wishing it would just go away. Then when it finally either does go away or I just face it and get it over with, after the initial relief has faded I'll crash into this weird, depressive mood. I dunno if it's from coming down off an adrenalin high or what, but it's a very strange feeling, and makes me almost miss the anxiety in a way. It's almost like this big event is over, and now there's nothing to look forward to. Just sort of an empty feeling.

Yeah Munchies are in fact chocolate squares with caramel and biscuit inside. They are not crisps (or chips as Americans would say). The animations are done so that the US market wouldn't get confused. There are numerous examples of this being done on this show.

Karl was speculating that everyone experiences the same amount of “problems” in their life, and the same anxiety about them, regardless of how severe the problems actually are. Hence everyone having the “same sized problem hole”. So he’s suggesting that while Ricky might be worrying about not getting enough interest on his investments and difficulties interviewing gardeners to make sure he gets the best one, someone else might be worrying about how to afford their next meal and whether their seriously ill partner is going to survive the night. But even though the problems are very different in scale, Karl thinks both people worry an equal amount about their respective problems.

Despite the fact that in the show they animated the munchies as crisps. They're actually little chocolates. It's got a little biscuit base. It's like little blocks of twix. Karl just got confused cause by the way Ricky was talking. Karl meant the last chocolate in the roll

Karl Pilkington is loved by all in the UK, I've never heard anyone say they hate him, and I definitely wouldn't say he is like marmite. I dunno why you two watch this, he seems to piss you off when I think you just don't get him you take him too literal.

We did it once. We went out for a Sunday Roast, (a rarity in our family as we always make our own Sunday dinner) and the portions we had were massive. We each had like three huge pieces of beef each, a copious amount of vegetables and we felt bad leaving it because it would have just been thrown away or, as my dad believed, just put in the microwave and served to somebody else. So we asked for waitress if we could have some plastic containers and we took them home and made a fry-up or a stew later on the week.

By the way, I'm guessing the animator is not British because Munchies are chocolates, not crisps. They are pretty tasty too. I have no idea what the American equivalent is but it would be a packet off small, cube shaped chocolates filled with caramel and biscuit ... so definitely not crisps/potato chips or whatever it was Karl was eating in the cartoon. Weirdly though, the animator absolutely nailed Revels, even the packaging was spot on, but I guess Ricky, Stephen and Karl described them a bit more sooooo

This is what annoyed me about Ricky with the radio show and podcasts, he's too easily riled up by Karl being wrong. Stephen can find great comedy in Karl's idiocy, Ricky has some kind of compelling force where he HAS to correct everything like a strict teacher marking an exam. Like when Karl says stuff like he met a ghost, Stephen sees that as a brilliant set-up for a fun anecdote whereas Ricky just shouts over him "WeLl AcKsHuAlLY GhOStS aREnT ReAL KaAaRl". Like we know Ricky, you're not a respected scientist, shut up and let this conversation continue. I think the amount of comedy Ricky adds compared to the comedy he takes away is a net neutral. He can be funny but he also kills conversations and talking points. He's a comedian, but he shoots down comedic moments to make himself look smart.

For some reason I still don't think the animated episodes give the BEST representation of Karl. I think listening to the full radio shows, or compilations of his and Steve's insults are best. I don't think you are yet to experience Karl and Steve's constant arguments, which are a key part of the original broadcasts

Munchies are actually different to Monster Munch. Monster Munch are crisps (chips) whereas Munchies are little square chocolates with caramel and biscuit inside
