A quick video showing the effect of the shutter speed on video. You can see that the first clip, at 1/4000sec looks it like it's strobing and is much less pleasing than the second one. Mind you this was done on purpose to get circular sparks, which do look somewhat pleasing in the last slowed down part. The lighting was very similar for the two shoots, the ISO was boosted on the first clip to get proper exposure, hence the noise.
