In this half-hour special, it’s multi-award-winning actor and director Michael Sheen who is to face the grilling of a lifetime from the unique collective. No subject is out of bounds, no question is off the table. On subjects as diverse as ex-girlfriends and on-screen kisses to the OBE he gave back or his favourite motorway, how will the Good Omens star fare as The Assembly bring their unique approach to the celebrity interview?

His facial expressions just before he asks his question tells a story of a brave young man overcoming his fears so he can experience something wonderful. This was very sweet and kind and moving... but not a ''pinnacle'' of humanity. humanity at its finest is when people risk their lives to save others, or help a stranger when everyone else passes by. Yes, I know humanity also shines in such small delicate moments, I will be the first to agree with you. BUT! It doesn't make it ''extraordinary'', it's a basic kindness in fact. Just because not all people are capable of this, doesn't it make it so special.

@edith9268 The whole video of The Assembly had me in tears, letting people with no or little voice in our world interview one of the greatest living British actors. There were no questions off limits which led to some interesting questions that must have had Michael squirming inside, such as "What's it like having a wife who's only 5 years older than your daughter?" To his credit, no matter whether the question was insightful, close to the bone or even banal, he thought carefully about his answer & gave clear, honest answers. He memorised people names & after the Q&A had ended, he mixed with the interviewers, recalling their names & their questions. He told one young man who had recited the poem Do Not Go Gentle into that Good Night by Dylan Thomas that he had a fantastic voice, which was true. He spoke it masterfully, clearly & from memory with lots of appropriate emotion. A young lady talked about the difficulty autistic people have in getting a job & it lead to a discussion about able-bodied actors playing disabled characters instead of hiring a disabled actor. Michael really interacted beautifully with everyone. I knew he was a decent person, but this was a masterclass in how to treat a disabled person. It's something many people struggle with. I am educated with a masters degree, yet when I'm out in my wheelchair, people speak over me, addressing whoever is pushing my wheelchair. You're treated like a baby, only one who is more of a burden than usual. I should imagine that, when you have a learning disability, you're treated even worse. It was an enjoyable programme & I'd recommend it. It was full of humour but also thought-provoking. (Edit: fixed a typo. Isn't autocorrect wonderful? /s:)

I had a kid tell me that she'd never met an adult that was so easy to talk to right away, just because I didn't get annoyed with her stutter, I didn't treat her like she was dumb, and I didn't talk over her. People need to take note of this. Handled beautifully. Just because someone is too nervous to speak, doesn't mean we should move on, or talk for them. Give them time. The more they are able to get those words out, the more confidence will come with time, and the less they will struggle. Let them take a moment, every time. Anxiety always falls away, whether in a minute or an hour.

A beautiful comment, well spoken and so very true. I especially appreciate your subtle reminder that sometimes it takes more than just a moment, but we WILL get there. Thank you.

We need more people who are respectful and understanding. Makes me tear up from how generous he was and how he cared and gave him attention.

There is so much compassion, patience, and support here - and from all sides. It would change lives if we were to treat and be treated in this manner.

How many more beautiful questions and incredible thoughts there would be in the world if we were all respectful and encouraging like Michael Sheen! And brave like Leo of course. Doubly brave, if Michael Sheen had smiled at me like that, I would have melted into a little puddle 😅

There is so many interactions in this that are uplifting from half a dozen different people. But how proud must his parents be. He knew he had this, he knew he was stronger than his fears and had the self esteem to wait until he was ready to ask his question so coherently and eloquently. Very admirable young man.

I love Micheal Sheen as an actor and watching this only makes me love him more. Being the perfect example of an incredible human being by both being patient and encouraging towards Leo, giving him the time and space he needed to find his voice to ask his question. He saw Leo’s needs and made the whole situation feel more accommodating for him and Leo showed a huge amount of courage to compose himself perfectly and ask his question to such an inspirational and beloved actor. Honesty, I’m not sure if I’d be able to do it myself given the situation. An incredible interaction between two amazing people 💜

Sometimes just giving time is the greatest gift you can give. Learn this people and you’ll be happy like all those around you. Michael is proof of this
