If I didn't already have a long haired Main Coon, I probably would've loved a Balinese cat, but I went with a super sweet, lovely and social Siamese kitten, and he became best friends with my 7 times as big, big boss main coon 😂 he's still literally about 7 times heavier, but the new kitten is growing fast 😁
my siamese cat lived 19 years. Loved to play fetch, slept under the covers, liked dogs, was an indoor/outdoor cat, talked to known people on the phone.
A month ago, I found a Balinese look-alike kitten (about a month old) at a shrine. She was with her sister, but another one totally did not look like a Balinese at all. I took the Balinese one home and gave the sister kitten to my close friend who had just lost her cat. Now they both are beloved in a happy family. Now, I am a big fan of Balinese cat🥰
We have 3 cats, two sisters that were picked up from the same litter. We chose the siamese looking one and a black one. The mother was longer haired. Didn't take very long to realize they both grew longer hair. The siamese looking one (Name is Eris), really fluffed right out. Tail like a feather duster. Few years have gone by, she's a pretty heavy cat compared to her sister who is a featherlight, she's poofy, fits the description of a Balinese (just non-pedigree). She's not overly talkative but she likes to be near people. An absolutely gorgeous cat and princess of the house.
Have a Siamese cat Molly (so called Snowshoe but basically Siamese with white tips). Made the mistake of brushing her with a hair brush - now demands it six or seven times a day.- Inside cat though she designs a way to escape every so often - I can intuit her inner psychology: "I am".
I have a 2 month old Siamese kitten (her hair is not short nor too long) so she could be a balinese? She prefers wet over dry food. She was a stray outdoor kitten. I took her in but all she does is cry, hide under small table, and hiss anytime I come near her. The only time she eats is when I leave the room. I don't know what to do? Or, is there something wrong with me? I've given her toys, treats, play soft music, leave blinds pulled back so she can look out the window. She finally got to a point to gradually walk somewhat near me for food; yet, her wall is still up and she still hiss at me while I just ignore her attitude. I've raised kitten before without problems, but not this breed. Am I doing something wrong, please help...?!?
Sorry to hear that your cat is taking some time to adjust to her new home and family. We don't give personal advice on our channel. But please be patient and continue to care for and love her. I would suggest speaking to your vet. I hope she will adjust sooner than later!
