We need a full movie that looks like the beginning clips of Leo and Donny by that guy. Now THAT guy gets it, that's what us 80's and 90's TMNT fans want a good, gritty and more accurate interpretation with what can really be done with CGI.

I love the 1990 movie faces so much. They're not radically different from each other, but you can easily tell them apart just by their face structures, like actual individuals. I sure hope we're seeing a revival of those classic faces.

its not dark, those are robots. waste of an hour and change. the civil unrest on a daily basis is darker than that, by leaps and bounds. watch the news sometime.

I could see this style used in a serious game. Like an Arkham City type story and playthrough. Switching between turtles, each one has specialties that gets them through parts of the map and so on. As long as Kevin Nash is Splinter too...

*John Likens* showcases the kind of *Ninja Turtles* that I love. The designs are from the *1990 TMNT* movie and they are gritty in a dark, realistic setting & mood. The *Turtle's* lives actually feel threatened and they could lose if they're not careful. Those *turtles* put the *Ninja* in *TMNT* and showcase the true art of invisibility. That's what I like! Completely opposite of these silly, goofy *turtles* of today who can't resist pizza at all. Give *John Likens* a job so we can bring back the true gritty, a** kicking *Ninja Turtles.*

FYI, the Heat Boys Leo has not been "revealed." It was released months ago and is an incredible figure. Michelangelo is set to release in October.

For the love of God, John Likens, PLEASE give us a full movie like that! It could be the greatest one since 1990! Only slight tweak I'd make is make the Foot Clan actual people as opposed to robots. I'd also like too see it 18 (or R) rated.

As much as we all love the whole "I'm a badass look at me pose" fight scenes, they're just so unrealistic to the point of nausea. The turtles were fun, they were wild teenagers that didn't give AF about stuff like that, they goofed off and kicked butt. I'd like to see more of that. Less posing, more butt kicking and fun. That's what TMNT is at the core.

All I've ever wanted was a dark and gritty TMNT Movie with these designs and badass fighting where they actually use their weapons. And Most importantly, for it to actually be done right. I Back John with anything and everything he wants to do. In these clips he captures the essence of what the turtles should truly be and is the first to do so in a live action product since the original 1990 movie. If this were to be made into a show or movie it would truly be incredible experience from beginning to end for true Turtle fans that have been waiting years for something like this. Made by an actual fan instead of Money hungry Film makers and studios that ruin it every step of the way. It has been 33 years since a Turtles movie that was actually done right, It's time for that to change

The animation looks great! I always said bring back the look of the 1990 movie but I just have a feeling with Nickelodeon owning the rights, we will never see anything as dark and gritty again on the big screen. Yes, the Last Ronin game will be that but movies are a lot more accessible then games.

The John Likens footage looks great! I'd definitely watch a movie in that style. For Shredder's Revenge DLC, Usagi is also a playable character, it adds a survival mode, and palette swaps available for everyone (with separate "level up" progress" in Survival and some unlockables which I believe are palette swaps).

I really LOVES how its based off the old 90's TMNT movies that were the absolute BEST TMNT movies ever made to date, and like ever will (unless this man makes this a reality, then it could very well honor those movies!). Although I have to say that I would like this be a Live Action (as in real costumed Turtles just like the 3 movies they made), and then just some CG added in to smooth some things out or for bigger sequences where the eyes can't really tell it apart

I cant believe the TMNT Shredder's Revenge Game did not include the character Carter in the game. He's canonically the fifth turtle in the 1987 cartoon story, with him being a half-human mutant turtle.

I know that Mutant Mayhem is the big thing in Turtles rn and so I understand why it's getting all this merch and attention, but I gotta say, that Leo 1990-style "test footage" (along with the Donnie footage) is EXACTLY what needs to happen with the Turtles franchise. They need to bring-back the 1990s TMNT film Turtles. Hopefully, in practical effects/live-action, but if they go this CG route in the "test footage", I'd be cool with that too. I mean, this "test footage" really looks amazing and Paramount/Nickelodeon would be foolish, to not pursue it.

The fact that he's using the 90's live action models warms my hearts. He needs to get the old actors like Mark Caso that did the 90's movie along with Eastman and Laird to help him make it reality.

The CG designs in that test footage are impeccable, though the actual movements of the fight scene are a bit stiff and awkward. Hopefully if his project goes through he can have some talented choreographers and experienced animators come on board to make things more visually exciting.

I like the look of those turtles. They definetely give off mutant mayhem style so its plausible to see this takes place just a little bit later as they grow older (as I assume the second film will cut to maybe a couple years later so the voice actors can age into the roles)

I am a HUGE TMNT fan. The very first movie I ever saw in theaters was the original movie back in the day. I love them all. That being said, my biggest gripe with ALL the movies is the lack of weapon combat in the movies. With such an emphasis in their respective weapons, none of the movies have captured their glory. The first, original attempted to integrate them, but not to its potential. When I saw this footage, I was like “HELL YEAH!” then it ended. I need whatever movie comes next to really hone in on their weapons as martial artist and make it look respectful as far as the meaning of their weapons to each of them. Get in some great fight scenes with them and for f**k sakes BRING IN SLASHER!!!!
