This video made me cry I have sickle cell trait and often find myself worrying if I every have kids and explaing to them what sickle cell is. I know that whatever happens I will make the best out of it no matter what !!!
I have personally experienced sickle cell crisis they are horrible pain for days cant sleep cant eat cant walk at times can be completely disabled. What I find to be so intriguing about this disease is abnormal hemoglobin sc is considered to be milder than ss type yet sickle cell crisis mimic ss . I wish there were more documentaries and studies done on abnormal hemoglobin scdisease .

Sorry! I hate ppl who are lay about sickle cell and its not RARE sorry 1 and 4 AA have the trait 200-400 have the disease. I'm a nurse and I have sickle cell disease and so does my bruh. Ppl are very lay when it comes to sickle cell but it is a disease like any other and can result in death. So it's not rare.
i dont want to be judgmental but i hope they didnt just go ahaed and had another child knowing they can pass the disease again. How selfish if they did. It s hard to feel sorry for people like that.
