To me this is a step up. Fly octo ebb and flow always felt like two seperate (very good) songs to me. This version is very seamless transitioning from spectrum to ebb and it all feels like one piece with the motif of spectrum being carried over all the way through whereas the motif of fly Octo kinda gets dropped

@@joelsytairo6338 I get that. Fly Octo Fly gets bias points for me personally, since it helped get me into Splatoon music.

To me nothing can beat Fly Octo Fly. This is very good in a different way but to me Fly Octo Fly is still number 1

I still love me some Fly Octo Fly. The first times I've ever played Splatoon 2 are on my buddy's Switch, and they're both final bosses - Octavio and NILS

@@Justice449 I didn't realize other players didn't instantly pick up on the fact it was supposed to be 8's heartbeat- thus it was supposed to be a steady rhythm that goes "Thud! Thud! Thud! Thud!" Instead of "THUMPTHUMPTHUMPTHUMPTHUMPTHUMPTHUMPTHUMPTHUMP!" Ig that's just my obsession over music mixing with my knowledge of the lore of the series- that music is pretty much the most powerful force in existence(I think? Do not quote me that's just what I picked up) and I vibe seriously hard with that ngl 😂

People most likely uploaded the standalone jukebox version that needed not to be "assembled" but lacks these parts. The story version of the song had to be stitched from several parts, including the last one

I sure hope not. I remember how they took down the Splatfest music I uploaded here from the testfire files before it has even started, and they struck down the video. But since that was technically a leak, I can understand. Not for this one, though. Not for this one...

I just wanted to have a challenge to mix it myself as close as possible, without recording the game audio and only using the ripped sound files. Sorry though 😮
