This is such a headcannon thing but I always imagine Pearl and Marina singing Ebb and Flow in the last minute with all their hearts as almost a final goodbye in case the world does end
imagine being an inkling somewhere near hammerhead bridge and seeing this happen from a distance, pearl and marina's voices carrying out into the distance as this giant statue of a form long lost to time is charging this giant laser while a lone figure desperately tries to paint it. most banger panic attack i'd ever have
I can imagine a crowd of Inklings watching it all from afar with confusion and fear but then getting into the hype and booyah-ing to lend Eight their strenght.
@@XelchanTheBrave LOL, me too! In fact, I literally commented that same thing! Also yesterday, just like you here! On this same video, too! I guess Great/Gr8/Gr-eight (sorrynotsorry, lol, also, "Frosted Flakes, they're GRrrrr-eat!" lol, that's what that "Gr-eight reminded me of) minds think alike, huh? 😆😄
@@eggydris4519 yep! Before the games launch, they announced a large scale paid dlc with an image with the silhouettes of pearl and marina. I’m honestly so excited for it 😭🙏✨
This is what happens when the music matches the moment, we get gems like this. Fly Octo Fly / Ebb and Flow did not disappoint and matched the part in game really well. This was one of my favorite parts in a video game I've ever had, and it really made the atmosphere of it so much better with this music. I am confident that Splatoon 3 will have great music, and this piece is one of the things I hope we'll see an official remix of in a later game.
3's main campaign was fun and all but nothing will beat OE's Finale. Beating Tartar on my first try felt so damn good with this playing in the background. Also Pearl's Booyah was hilarious, but awesome.
I uh Hate to admit it But i cheated my way through the finaly by dying and autoskipping And the inmediately dropped to the water (this time by accident) and skipped the boss. I am ready for your tomatoes
Hearing the test complete jingle at the beginning of the song my first time hearing it was part of the reason I instantly fell in love with it. The tie ins back to everything you'd done before this point in the story are just so incredible.
Also, just the fact that it IS the test completion jingle. A motif the player has come to directly associate with winning. The track's custom-built to pump the player up from the word go. Love it.
I like that they made it so the boss fight doesnt immediately end when you blow up all the bombs, just so you could hear this masterpiece until the very end
the nostalgia aaaa, i spent so much of my middle school years dedicated to this game, listening to this again reminds me of the good ol' days when I wasn't dying from the pressure of high school haha... such a fun game, so glad splatoon 3 is just as awesome :)
They’re both amazing, but the theming (like the presentation) of the turf war final boss was something I liked more. Song-wise, idk which one I prefer!
@@daniellemurnett2534 assuming Octo Expansion takes place around the time as Splatoon 2 Agent 1: Brainwashed Agent 2: Secretly obsessing over Agent 4 Agent 4: Hero Stuff
i think octo expansion did its story and exploration of the characters much better, but side order definitely has more replayable and unique gameplay, especially after alterna was basically an octo expansion encore. they're both great and its basically a minuscule difference between octo expansion's 9.5 and side orders ~9
@@cereious Eh. I think Octo Expansion is a tad more thematically interesting, and the floors get pretty repetitive. But I mostly agree with that score comparison.
@@KIIROCORE yeah I cant wait till weirdo agent 4 meets agent 3 who is apparently a god and agent 3 [2] who forgot how to play the game, and small fry who has been thrown off the map several hundred times.
Agent 4 too, I find it weird why the devs would randomly include their house on the world map unless that'll tie into something in the future. (Or not)
words cannot describe how i felt seeing Octo Expansion appear for the Ebb and Flow remix. it's only been a few years but OE remains one of the most unique experiences i've had from playing a game. can't wait for Side Order ; u ;
I wish they kept the "TEST PASSED!" leitmotif honestly. It feels so triumphant, and i would've loved it it became the agent 8 leitmotif. Unfortunately, they changed it in side order.
Bro. This music throws me back now. I get flackbacks of octo expansion. And the rush flowing through my body of the 100x battle I won back in chicken vs egg re-run
something I just want to say now, I absolutely ADORE how this uses the level complete jingle from the DLC in it. phenomenal way to tie everything together and it gives such a good cadence to it!!
This song always gives me the feeling like this was made to make you fell like you could lose everything RIGHT NOW if you fail, but it just pays off all the more when win. I will die before someone says this song isn’t good.
@@dammit_larryyeah! if you take some of its sounds and put it in the right order its singing ebb and flow. Extra fun fact the same is true for pinging marciale which is singing fly octo fly. You can find these sounds all stitched together in the right order on youtube by searhing "asyncronous rondo singing" or "pinging marciale singing"
fanmade lyrics by me :3 Whatcha gonna do when you're at your wits end? Whatcha gonna do when there're no options? All you gotta do is sing from within: Whoa, whoa oh oh! Whoa, oh oh! Whatcha gonna do when things fall apart? Whatcha gonna do, and where would you start? All you gotta do is yell from your heart, Whoa, whoa oh oh! Whoa, oh oh! Don't you worry now, 'bout a single thing I can show you how You can spread your wings You've got enemies all out to get you You've got enemies, but what will you do? You've gotta release the power in you Whoa, whoa oh oh! Whoa, oh oh! Rise up and let your colors fly! Yeah, you better set your sights On something high! High! No time for low-lives Whoa, whoa oh oh! Whoa, oh oh! Don't you worry now (Just relax) 'bout a single thing (And unpack) I can show you how (Your attack!) You can spread your wings Who can stop you now (Nobody!) That you're flying (Can't ya see?) None can knock you down Now, you wear the crown! You know what to do when you're without hope You know what to do when spirits are low You know what to sing when you feel alone: Whoa, whoa oh oh! Whoa, oh oh! You already know you've gotta get loud You already know what it's all about You already know what you've gotta shout: Whoa, whoa oh oh! Whoa, oh oh! You already know! Don't stop moving (Turn up the music) Keep with the battle, and go, and go Winning or losing, (Baby, I'm proving) You're still one with the ebb and flow Don't stop fighting, clawing, or biting Keep with the battle, and go, and go Winning or losing, baby you're proving No matter how the battle goes, you'll still be one with the ebb and flow (Win or loss, you're the boss, you're on top) One with the ebb and flow (High or low, you can go, for a K.O) One with the ebb and flow (In the end, you'll still win! Don't give in) The ebb and flow (You know it, so go show it! Just don't blow it!) The ebb and flow
Sometimes I think about the lies humans tell themselves to avoid the horrifying realities of death and eternal oblivion, so I just listen to this song and it doesn’t make it any better why is the universe so cruel and unforgiving
