This video features my first day in Marrakech before we head out toward Ouarzazate and the Atlas Mountains. I'm a designer by trade so I'm always focused on collecting sights, sounds, textures, and colors that inspire me. I stayed at the Hotel Riad Marraplace near Jemaa el-Fnaa the first night and visited the Yves Saint Laurent Museum, Jardin Majorelle and Yves Saint Laurent Mansion. I walked around the city for the most part, with the only car ride being from the airport to el-Fnaa.
I made this video last year but wasn't sure how a travel vlog was going to affect my 'brand' as a DIY BMW R Nine T repair channel. Today, about a year after the tour, I thought "Who cares"? It's my channel and I'll post if I want to :)
I got side tracked from making the DIY motorcycle repair videos. Life got complicated and I lost some momentum, but this video is motorcycle related content. I joined a group tour last year with the folks at Sideburn Magazine, an independent dirt track racing and motorcycle culture publication based in the U.K. They collaborated with an adventure touring outfit in Morocco called Moto Aventures and offered this tour for a group of like-minded enthusiasts.

I've been riding motorcycles since 2002 that began with the purchase of a ratty used 1978 BMW R100/7. I never thought at the time that this hobby would take me halfway across the world. I love motorcycles!
