This is an episode of the short-lived ABC martial arts series "Sidekicks" starring Ernie Reyes, Jr. and Gil Gerard of Buck Rogers fame. Police Sergeant Jake Rizzo is chosen by a wise old master (Keye Luke) to mentor his grandson Ernie, who is the last heir to an ancient martial art.
Ernie's troubles with a bully promote tension between Jake and the bully's father. The only problem is the bully's father happens to be on the city council - and therefore Jake's boss.
