SIDELINED | Academy Football Documentary 

Excellent, insightful documentary especially as my 8 year old is on a trail with a prem club at moment. This documentary will definitely help me as a football dad to manage expection and support my son not just in football but in life.

Quite tough to see how damaging it can be to these young players. Really glad your rising awareness about this issue.

They need to adopt a more academic / trade model where for every year in a professional academy a player receives £1000 toward education after they are released , then if your in an academy for 7/8 years you have a pot of cash to tap into to get your education / trade on track
