Thanks for the in depth review, man! Can’t wait to get mine. While it adds a little more articulation, I kinda wish they went with a one piece head/neck sculpt. It’ll be fine with how I plan to display it but still. Anyways, thanks again. This figure looks epic!
@@CaptainPlums I will do some light shadow with paint ,easy. But the store where i preorder it just cancelled and refund me .they said that sideshow was not producing those anyone so all production stop they won't have it😐 so i have to look on ebay now sucks!
I’m very pleased with my Josie Wales. My one criticism - the matching pair of Colt Walker 1847 pistols should be significantly larger than the 1860 Colt Army pistol. The Colt Walker was massive, the 1860 Colt was made to be more manageable and more conveniently worn in a belt holster. But that’s a minor nitpick with an otherwise excellent figure.
Hello, I had originally bought the First Dirty Harry figure and sent it back as the complexion on the face was so dark in regular room light. Can you tell me if they have done a better job in these figures since there first releases. I want to buy the Josey but afraid that they haven't done better paint apps. Thank you.
Seems like most folks in the comments are agreeing that this in particular is the best Clint they have done. I can’t say I had that problem with TMWNN either though.
Best likeness of all the sideshow Eastwood figures so far. I was really disappointed with the man with no name head sculpt. It appears the artist took liberties in making Mr Eastwood into a cartoon caricature. When it come to creating an iconic well known person they should be shooting for accuracy and realism since Mr. Eastwood is not a fictional comic book character like Sideshow does a lot of. I’m glad they did this figure justice and got the lower eyelid squint just right. The Outlaw Josey Wales is by far the best western he’s directed and starred in. I wish sideshow would resculpt correctly the man with No name version and release a variant version. But very doubtful.
Totally agree. I couldn’t pass on my favorite Eastwood movie figure but I wish they hadn’t taken so many liberties with the sculpt. Looks like they’ve learned from that though and are delivering on screen accurate representations. Here’s hoping they do a Fist Full of Dollars with a more faithful likeness.
Spot on!! Sideshow's "80% realism, 20% caricature" policy drives me nuts. They should strive for 100% accuracy when producing portraits, especially when producing figures based on arguably the greatest movie star of all time (he's number 1 for me). I do like the expression on their Blondie, but the likeness while decent, is far behind what the likes of Inart and Hot Toys are achieving. On the plus side, Blondie's physique, body proportions and clothing are very good - better than those extremely pricey customs. This Josey Wales portrait really is excellent, a 9/10 for me, whereas Blondie and Harry are 7/10 at best.
@@NerdieNarwhal My intention is not to shit on you. Just sharing the truth with proof. The problem with Google is that it has made people stupid as they search someone to agree with them, then call it fact. I've been collecting 1/6 figures for decades and also John Wayne and Clint fan. I'm on the wait list for Jose Wales. I have 4 Wayne sideshows and the Indiana Jones. The Eastwood's are the best I have ever seen.
@@Steger13 did you have your glasses on. Clint got his big break from James Garner who is 6'1". In Maverick they are literally the same height. If you saw the photo of Wayne and Eastwood, you can plainly see who is taller and bigger. A fan of both.
