My favorite part is when Thomas Hayden Church is trying to explain to Giamatti why he's so obsessed with women and all the chaos that ensues when chasing them. "You understand fine wine, art, literature, but you'll never understand my plight". As a lifelong womanizer myself, I've never heard it phrased more perfectly

Let's do this Brad. Legit impressed with this analysis. Being middle aged myself, I think I'm going to have to rewatch this gem. Thanks for the recommendation.

I went to Napa after seeing that movie and found that I prefer Merlot to a lot of other wines. The movie Bottle Shock is a great follow up movie if you liked this one. I got to meet the real Gustavo after seeing that one. His wine was good.

‘97, same year as My Best Friend’s Wedding. Shouldn’t admit it, but I’ve never watched that one.

@@bradcecil9353 That really happened! Merlot sales plummeted, and Pinot Noir sales went way up. Wine experts call it "The Sideways effect"
