Back in September I was in the mojave desert. I sat down in the sand and much to ,my surprise one of these appeared between my legs. Never moved so fast in my life ha ha

When I was at White Sands, New Mexico, it was a cloudy day, not too hot, not too cool. I laid down on a sandhill and took a nap. About 30 minutes later I woke up and there was a track of a large sidewinder rattlesnake about three feet below my feet. I'm not planning to nap on a sandhill again.

The snake is thinking, "Maybe if I bury myself in this sand, these two big, ugly dinosaurs will leave me alone!" Thumbs up for the snake!

Of all the rattlesnakes, the sidewinder is by far my favorite. Just the way they move, and that hiding technique. They are bad ass.
