SIDI Vertigo 2 Boots Review 

I got into a bad situation where I was pushed against a concrete barrier at 40MPH. Me being silly used my body to keep the bike off the wall as much as possible while centrifugal force was pushing me into it. Somehow I did not get a scratch on me. I have to credit my gear. I had Sidi boots. The pucks on the side were worn down to the screws, the stitches in the leather ruptured but stayed together to provide protection from sliding across the concrete. I had textile pants that wore down to the CE rated armor underneath. Safety wise I can vouch for Sidi. I do remember the break in period being rough though. I had to adjust the position of the shift lever on my bike. But it's not that big of a deal, you just get used to it.

You could argue these are better protection than the Mag 1 which I currently use. The heel cup is better for sure. I crashed hard in ancient Vertebra boots, the predecessor to these, and they saved my foot from total destruction. Heel and ankle were hardest hit. The best part is ease of on and off between sessions. Velcro and a zipper, not pain in the ass latches and ratchets. I may replace my Mag 1s with these. Sidi is the only choice for me. ZILLA is still king.

Had this boot about a year now, 2k miles or so. Upgraded from Cobra air which were great boots for the buck. Solid protection but it is a stiff boot to walk in for long periods. Only gripe is that the tiny SIDI tab at the top of the closure regularly stabs my inner calf on long rides. I have to wear long socks to minimize discomfort. 4.5/5 stars in my book.

So they cut quality to keep costs the same. not fooling anyone guys

Love these boots. I just bought a pair and they are fantastic for the price. Looks cool to boot (no pun intended).

they remind me of rollerskate boots. i used to own baeur pairs and somes. they looked robotic and cool

Sound like a great boot. What does "Hardcore Sport Riding" mean? I am looking for a good not great SuperMoto boot with good protection. After 4 broken ankles from dirt bikes, the ankle support is a must.
