A bit of the card choices are a bit odd. Or, should I say, not to my liking. I am not hating on your choices, I am not here to hate. I just find it odd that we all play our decks so differently. Here are the cards I personally don't like, for how my Sidisi works Wand of the Vertebrae, Shard of Broken Glass, Embalmer's Tools, Perpetual Timepiece, Sultai Ascendancy. They're cute. But I mean, they don't do anything. An extra zombie now or then, but meh? They look like traps to me. Shards is probably the better one. Bolas's Citadel is a great card. But what does it do for us? In this deck? Crucible of Worlds. I run Ramunap Excavator, which is that, and World Shaper. I don't need that effect on a non-creature and on a third card. If so, I'd rather have the one-shot Splendid Reclamation. I want to go fast. Cards that I would add instead are Path of Discovery (every creature entering mills one, or draws land, including zombies), Crawling Sensation (more mill, milling lands gives tokens), Dictate of Erebos (If you block small zombies, it will cost you), Beastmaster Ascension (turns 2/2s into 7/7s), Key to the City (ensures Sidisi attacks, and you can discard Wonder or cards with Dredge), Bident of Thassa, Skullclamp, Mesmeric Orb (remember, since milling 20 creatures at once will only give you 1 zombie anyway, you need cards like this that will give you a lot of triggers instead of one large one), Whispersilk Cloak, Trailblazer's Boots (get that Kessig Cagebreakers to survive the swing to put 30 more wolves per combat) I don't run any instants, but Grapple with the Past would probably be the one I would run of yours - or of any. Mythos of Brokkos is not good enough to include over two creatures that does the same. Aid the Fallen, just not good all. I would rather mill a creature that does the same. Bond of Insight. It will likely never find enough targets and you will get 1 zombie. Max. There are better ways of doing that for 4 mana. The sorceries that I run are Bala Ged Recovery, Agadeem's Awakening (these were probably not out when you recorded this, I am guessing. I run them as lands, and sometimes they do more), Overwhelming Stampede (win con), Dread Return, Worm Harvest and Spider Spawning (these 3 work from hand and graveyard. Worm Harvest is the weakest one, and you think it's an overperformer) I don't run any planeswalker, but Jace-War and Tamiyo are solid, I guess. I wouldn't run any of the others. Ashiok is cute, but 1 zombie most. Spellkeeper Weird makes me think you started in War of the Spark and this was a much different deck before it was what it is now, and I am guessing this is no longer performing as it once did. The rest of your creature package makes me think you are either on a tight budget, or playing a weaker play group so I won't bother you with any more of my inputs, and it feels more mean that I meant most of it. With Sidisi, you only get one zombie even if you mill all creatures per mill situation, so you don't need to run all-creatures, but the non-creatures you do run needs to have thought behind it. A few of these cards are just there to be good cards, and hey, that's fine. But they don't do a lot with or for the deck. I hope you didn't take any offence, as I didn't mean it as such. If you want more tips or suggestions (because I didn't give any for the creatures), please let me know. Otherwise I will shut up now and not bother you anymore. All right, have a good time man.

And yeah, English is my fourth language, so my grammar is all over the place. Sorry about that. I edited as I went along and didn't do a final pass. My B.

@tetrisgoat hey! I really appreciate your feedback here. I certainly did not take any offense to your thoughts on my deck. I warmly welcome them! My Sidisi EDH is much more of a casual deck. I have a lot of friends in my meta who's decks are at a similar power level. I would say it be a 6 or 7 personally. Those numbers and estimates vary from person to person, however. I must say- I LOVE the cards you added into your Sidisi deck! Such great suggestions. I completely overlooked Mesmeric Orb! Every permanent is a separate trigger. Beautiful beautiful synergy. I also love your Beastmaster Ascension and Worldshaker (Merfolk) suggestions! You have inspired me to UPGRADE my deck list. I'll be making a video in the future with a new list and I'll be play testing this deck in the meantime. I may have to start building my decks for more competitive play as most of my decks are casual. OR even better, I'll start to make 2 versions of the deck! Many many thanks for your wonderful suggestions and insightful opinions!

Hey man, glad you didn't take it as harshly as I was afraid I was coming off as. I love discussing Magic and I am glad to see your version. You seem like a cool dude, might check in on your videos later. Also take a look into Altar of Dementia, which I forgot to mention. If one of your creatures chump block, you might as well make some value out of it. Sac outlets are great. Here are a few creatures I noticed you are not running. *Ramp* : Llanowar Elves, Elvish Mystic, Birds of Paradise, Veteran Explorer, Elves of Deep Shadows. Millikin is a second Deranged Assistant. All of these are creatures, for milling purposes, Skullclamp/Altar of Dementia fodder, or can attack after a pump. *Draw* : Edric, Spymaster of Trest and Graveborn Muse. Edric gives an incentive for your opponent to attack others, and both reward you for what you want to be doing. *Token creators* : Grave Titan, Tendershoot Dryad, Avenger of Zendikar and Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet. Especially the last one. Surprisingly strong. *Regrowth effects* : Den Protector, Golgari Findbroker. Ancient Greenwarden, Acolyte of Affliction are others you aren't using. Replace that Aid the Fallen, perhaps. *Reanimation* : Meren of Clan Nel Toth, Body Double, Obsessive Stitcher, Phyrexian Delver. Great cards to get your best beater or anthem out again. Bloodsoaked Champion, Gravecrawler, Skyclave Shade. These are cards similar to Reassembling Skeleton if you want more of those, and I use the first two instead of Reassembling (but not the third). Pop them into a skullclamp to draw a lot of cards, reanimate themselves. *Destroy effects* : Reclamation Sage, Bane of Progress, Trygon Predator, Ravenous Chupacabra/Nekrataal/Shriekmaw/Big Game Hunter, Fleshbag Marauder/Merciless Executioner/Plaguecrafter/Demon's Disciple. The last ones are great in token decks, unless you sac the casted creature itself. And Archfiend of Depravity is always a hit. *Mill cards* : Dreamborn Muse in case you need even more. *Win-cons or pump* : I use Death Baron, Thunderfoot Baloth, Pathbreaker Ibex, Master Biomancer, Craterhoof Behemoth and my two personal favourites Syr Konrad, the Grim and my pet card Sun Quan, Lord of Wu. Some of these might be really expensive these days, I only know about European prices, and I bought most of these cards years ago. If they are too expensive for you, skip them. No one should make you feel pressured into spending more than you are comfortable with. There are lots of options available, these are just examples of the ones I use. And, rewatching your video again, I forgot to add Crypt of Agadeem. Derp. I don't need it in my mono-black deck, I need it here. So, thank you! :)

(argh. I meant Greenwarden of Murasa, not Ancient Greenwarden for regrowth. And of course, Noosegraf Mob and Verdant Force are cute token creators that I forgot. Not as strong as Tendershoot or Kalitas, but friendlier on the wallet. There are many others too)

It's nice to see an updated deck video for this commander, it's always fun to see people's twists on their decks. I recognize a lot of these pieces from my graveyard decks, since a part of the deck's strategy is based around tokens I would consider putting cards that double the amount of tokens like second harvest but as someone who loves graveyard themed decks this looks really fun to play as is.
@backtosquarefun
@backtosquarefun 3 года назад
Yes!! Cheers to another graveyard player! I added doubling season on an earlier build and found it a little slower than I liked. It is still a great card and sweet suggestion! I tried to force all of my non-creature spells to either immediately self mill or bring back cards from the yard. Through my experience it has had a nicer flow gameplay wise.

Sidisi is a lot of fun to pilot. I'm always trying to enhance this deck too! Do you have a favorite graveyard commander? What cards do you play that are similar? Or different? Thanks for watching!
@rulerofrandomness2794
@rulerofrandomness2794 3 года назад
@@backtosquarefun Most of my decks have a graveyard theme in some way but of the ones specifically built around it my current favorite is Feldon of the third path. Some similarities I've used in decks varying on the color are Jace the living guildpact, sheoldred, skull winder, eternal witness and bolas' citadel. Some different ones I have are Feldon's cane, final parting, corpse connoisseur and anything with threshold is something I at least consider.
@backtosquarefun
@backtosquarefun 3 года назад
That's wild! I've never thought of Feldon of the Third Path as a graveyard deck. But he totally is! I think I saw him as "another red card" and dismissed him. Shame on me. Anyways, that's a really cool twist on the typical graveyard decks. Mono red graveyard shenanigans. I like it!
@rulerofrandomness2794
@rulerofrandomness2794 3 года назад
@@backtosquarefun Definitely, red has more cards that work with the graveyard and reanimate strategies than people think at first but card draw through discard or cards that sacrifice for damage etc really help those decks especially in budget decks. It makes it easier to recover from boardwipes due to the artifact synergy. What’s really fun is using him with spawn of Thraxes and Torbran dealing a load of damage based on the mountains you have.

Alright, don't know if you still check these comments but I discovered a pretty sweet combo with this deck using Bond of Insight recently. What you want to do is tutor for Leveler and Thassa's Oracle.You can use Bond of Insight to pick Demonic Tutor and Noxious Revival up to your hand. Then use Noxious to put Insight back on top of your library. Now you have the tutor machine going finding the Leveler + Oracle combo fast, ideally having Sidisi out making zombies during this. It's also very powerful using this combo with Reanimate too.

Hey there! Yes I check and appreciate all comments. I like this synergy package you're sharing. Infinite tutors and refreshing spells from the graveyard is super good! It's awesome you get the generate 2/2 zombies while it's happening too. Awesome! I haven't played with this Sidisi deck in a few months. Your comment is making me want to dust it off and get some more games in. Maybe update the list as well. Thank you for watching and sharing your feedback! Goes a long way and means a lot 🌟

@@backtosquarefun That is awesome to hear! I just recently started using this deck and I'm going to build on it for a long time I think. A updated list from you would be very cool. I'm curious about how people build this deck, there seems to be a hundred different ways to play it. Some people even considers playing Sidisi as a plan D, capitalizing more on cards like Hermit Druid + zero basic lands. I like to keep things more versatile with some interaction, but ultimately leaning on Oracle as my plan A. Having Syr Konrad, Mindcrank, and Wound Reflection in play also ends the game very quickly. I also currently run Bruvac, Fraying Sanity, and the best mill spells to finish people off instantly. Titan's Nest and Phyrexian Altar will generate you so much mana and enable a ton of combos too. Toski over performs way too often. Greater Good + Omnious Seas will draw your library. Playing Demonic Consultation naming a card you don't have will remove your library. I could go on, there are endless possibilities with these colors. I''ll share some tips in the future when I stumble upon some fun ones. Also, look up "MTG Four Horsemen" if you haven't. It's too good in this deck. I got to try the tutor trick yesterday and your playgroup is gonna now that something is up pretty fast haha. So in other words your board state should be ready before you start these shenanigans, I learned that the hard way. Pretty fun little interaction though! I'm a big fan of alternative ways to win. Bond of Insight is a pretty underated card in my opinion. Thanks for getting back to me

I would like an alt deck list for a less self-mill focused deck. I built her as a sultai zombie tribal deck with a bunch of zombie lords. I used some mill and creature heavy to help activate sidisi but didn’t focus on just milling.

I.E. I want more card slots not dedicated to mill because sidisi can on her own

Hello and Thank you! I Absolutely love the idea of making a more competitive deck. I have them in the works right now and I will be updating ALL of my previous deck tech videos as well as future deck Techs to make a casual and a competitive version. I hope you can check them out soon enough! Zombie lord tribal is too good to pass up!

Then why play her there's other sultai commanders that do better things. You literally aren't using sidisi if you aren't,milling at all

Wow, self-mill is so diverse. I have like 200 cards under a dollar that are good for the deck but every time I think I'm done building, I find more cards to optimize the decl with.

Hello! I designed my deck to have immediate interaction and synergy with my commander, Sidisi. The cards you mentioned are powerful and I actually ran both Nighthowler and Sewer Nemesis when I first made this deck. I found them to be a little slower than I prefer with my play-style. But that's the great part about EDH! You can design a deck to your playstyle and face off against another version of the same deck with two completely different strategies. Thanks for watching! Hope I clarified
