Thanks for posting this, just getting back into detecting after 7 years away (Safari). Jumped back in with the Nox 900. Not having a clue where to start I have set up to the settings exactly as yours and I will start from there and tweak to suite on the way.
Thanks Sid just got myself a 900 to go with my DEUS I on which I have been using your hammy settings for years, I'm grateful for these 900 to start thank you.
Alright Sid. Just got the equinox 900 after using the simplex for a couple of years. Wow what a difference. Used these settings and had a couple of hours detecting and managed to get a 1766 silver shilling love token out from about 10 inches down. I know it’s not old but it’s silver on the first hunt with the equinox. Did dig a few big lumps of iron tho that sounded good coming in at mid to high 40s.
@@stemakwest7165 the more i used the machine the less iron I started to dig. How I use the machine now is I have the iron turned off then when I find a decent signal I switch the iron back on and go over it again and if there’s iron there this normally helps me pick it out. Really enjoy using the machine now.
@@StealthSurviveYTI’ve really been struggling with Iron falsing. I’m new to detecting and the 900. I’ve been using it for nearly two months and the Iron issue has been very confusing and frustrating. Cranking up the FE helps on some Iron targets but some still give good 40’s signals. I dig them as it might me two targets close to each other. 95% its iron but on the odd occasion there something else.
I just had a go with your settings and hey presto multiple finds 😊very happy with the results going out again tomorrow to get some more thanks so much loving the videos
Hello Sid just a wee update regarding your settings, I'm new to the 900 coming from the etrac which i loved but getting too much for me old bones, but anyhoo really happy with the settings was a bit curious to see how it would work on the Scottish soil but no worries there bud works a treat, and i see what you mean about picking up the smallest targets cut qaurters etc, but more like quarter sized bits of tin can on my ground😊 but many thanks for taking the time and effort to share these settings much appreciated, still a bit of a learning curve for me at the moment but this has really helped me old brain all the best Sid take care mucker.
Hey Sid, i have just, (this week) made the jump from the deus 1, using your Hammy settings and the sonar programs to great success, to the nox 900. I've loaded your settings into the nox and will try them out this week. I'll let you know how i get on, on iron infested pasture🙏🤞👍
Set up to your settings, went out for a couple of hours and pulled up a sixpence and an old big half penny and an extra ndistinguishable coin, just getting used to it now as I’m a novice, still dug the odd old bit of metal and some small lead but it’s a learning curve, oh and about 10 shotgun cases 😆 thanks mate
The lead and the shotties you gotta dig as none ferrous, the iron you will dig a fair bit the first few times your out but will deffo start to learn the difference in tones and dig less the more you use it
Hi mate! Got the 900 yesterday but I’ve not been detecting in over 20 years so all these screens/options/settings ect have been very daunting but this video has helped massively!! Much appreciated, itching to get out now. Thanks a lot and keep up the good work! 👌
Hi Sid great video , just purchased the 900 from a 600 and used your settings yesterday first time out with it , got myself a cut quarter at a depth of 5 inch with a vdi of 18 Big thumbs up from me and a sub . Thanks Shane ( Darrowby Diggers)
Hi Sid, new to detecting and the channel, just bought the 900. Great video, one question do these settings stay there when machine has been switched off and back on, and therefore the only time they are removed is when machine is factory reset?
Hi Sid going out with the 900 this Saturday for the first time with LGD in derby on pasture. I'm good to go with these settings or would you alter anything maybe to get a bit more depth on pasture cheers mate keep up the good work 👍
Congrats on 900 settings sid but i think the screen looked better before you turned on the red light when you put the red light on the screen looked a bit blare and not very clear or was it my eyes lol 👍👍👍
@EnglandsHistory hi sid can't wait to use these settings thank younfor sharing...but I'm sure you know if you tap the light again it goes slightly dimmer.
The main big difference is build quality… but by having a larger TID scale i really like to… over all the 900 is better… not by leaps and bounds but every little helps
Hello, friend, I ordered evinox 900, before that I also considered the legend. what do you think is better for small purposes such as small silver coins coins. which device is better suited for plowing and heavy mineralization in your opinion? Did I make a mistake when I ordered Equinox instead of Nokta Legend? thanks for the answer.
There both great mate, very similar in performance and also the settings and features… i used the legend for the past year and really got used to it and its little nuances love it, i have been using the 900 for last month or so and thats been performing great so you are deffo going to love the 900
Nice video mate. Will these settings work on the nox 700? Also, I’m on the manticore waiting list but is the manticore that much better then the 900? I’m also a noob haha
You can lower sens and up recovery speed and raise iron bias if you want to tame the settings but if you stick with them and learn the tones and what machines telling you you will soon get it sussed and that will yield you more finds, especially the tricky targets other may miss
