VISA is best in Cambodia. Poverty is hard to see.. I usually try to buy from the poorest looking vendors and donate… You are helping out a bit…Thanks
@ronwagoner8358
Are you serious? $1000 USD a month and one can do quite well?

I've been in Siem Reap since 2016. If the hospitals were better, it would be a great retirement destination.
@tukicat1399
I was in Siem Reap in 2008 and I was disgusted with the multi million dollar resorts bussing people to the temples and back.. I did not see the money make its way to the city itself.. It seems very different today.. the buildings, the homes are much much better.

So glad you’ve found happiness in Siem Reap Cambodia. Appreciate what you do ! Take good care of your diet and health. Poverty, garbage and bad infrastructure are part of the reason it’s so affordable for Westerners. 😊

I love your empathy. We are from the same generation when you couldn't fit a sheet of paper between a European and a Murican. Today I can't relate to young Muricans and most young Ropeans. But so glad to see us seniors still share the same humility and generosity. Welcome to Siem Reap 🙏

Yes, weddings are a nice way to experience the local culture - even for the price of 20$ you pay before leaving 😊😮😢😊😊😊😊

I like your take on things. I think that laid back, zen outlook is necessary in Cambodia. It's either that or be miserable, and there's no point being miserable. I think getting away from the media and societal angst in America is really refreshing, and once you adjust to how things are in Siem Reap, the days are filled with more smiles and laughter.

Six things I like about Autumn and 1 thing I don’t like… 👍

Good leadership leads to prosperity and happiness but poor leadership leads to suffering and death as the country has come a long way since its civil war was officially ended in 1998. I had to leave country in 1979 after living through Pol Pot killing madness from 1975 to 1979. Our family was sent from Phom Penh to work in the rice fields and to dig cannals . My first return trip from Minnesota was back in 1995 when the country was officially open up to the world and tried to locate my surving family members from horrific genocide there. The country was still in ruins and family members were separated. Luckily I found my sole surviving sister and the rest of 11 of them did not make it. Sharing is caring as life is short to do the things we don't love doing. Peace🎉

What i liked: easy visa, inexpensive housing, cheap meds, good doctors, feral cats to take care of, cheap massage, western selections in stores.

Very humid this morning. I was dripping after my morning walk up to the fruit market. Long avocado and a bunch of bananas for $1. I livid in Kampot for 3 years and the air quality is definitely better. I agree, number 1 is the people. Keep well
@edgardale4501
I like that the money is all paper, no metal coins.
@wneighbor2523
Cambodian weddings are amazing… food is incredible… been to 2 . One wedding had about 2000 guests.. 2nd had only 500 guests ( small for Cambodian wedding)… 💒

Your apartment video is one thing viewers like about Autumn… they just go viral… thanks 🙏
@philipc239
Wish foreigners could apply for a one time PR (permanent resident) status and get it over with, than to renew visa every year.
@roygoad2870
Can’t believe you never mentioned the heat, just checking the temperature, it’s been as high as 43C/109F, this hot season so far and many expect it to even get worse in the future! Also the electric charge is higher than other nearby countries!
@PeterC245
You are correct about being dissatisfied, with your home country ,
@user-se3ro4hz3d
