Standard Easy Care 60° cycle in this old Siemens from February 1994. Identical machine to my Bosch WFS4030 bar the obvious. This machine was free and picked up with the intention of being used for parts for my WFS4030 should the need arise. This isn’t in the best condition or sounds anywhere near as smooth as my Bosch and there's a little bit of play within the bearings/spider meaning the drum intermittently snags on the door gasket. This machine is NOW SCRAPPED.

Great machine! I thought it'd do an older easy-care cycle with 4 rinses and one interim spin. I'm surprised😃 it's an excellent cycle even for cottons😄 I like the anti-tangle before main spin. Such a shame that newer BSH don't do this

My aunt once had this one as a washer-dryer. She had it for about 17 years until the motor broke down

Could you record Cottons with higher water level? It would be very interesting to see how does it work on this cycle 😊

Hi Chris, it'd be quite interesting to see a dual wash cycle between this & your WFS4030. Love the cycle indicator knob on this machine too, although I'm more partial to Bosch in a way. If it were me, I'd touch this up both visually/cosmetically & the few internal issues you mentioned, then you'd have a twin Brother machine you could use when you're doing a country themed wash day ;).

Is it a washer/dryer combo? As we hear a fan being switched on briefly at 1:00:30 while it was tumbling for the 2nd rinse, could you do a wash and drying program with it? Interesting to see that it has the main program dial, and a smaller sequence/cycle dial next to it

Nope this is not a washer/dryer but the even more expensive machine in this series had one that was washer/dryer. Not much difference in progranming on that one. It looks almost the same but with some more buttons and lights.
