In this video i show and demonstrate the Siemens WT47RT90GB heat pump tumble dryer. I also go through some reasons why a heat pump dryer may not be suitable for you. For a great buy visit here: www.lords-electrical.co.uk/wa...
Iv watched every video this man has done and I have to watch it 3 or 4 times because I usually fall asleep before it ends!! I mean that in a good way because he has the most relaxing voice ever!! Asmr legend and he doesn't even know it haha videos are brilliant, recieve great info and relax at the same time. Never leave youtube ever !!! 👍🏻
Don't worry i am not going anywhere Craig. I have never made the videos intended for ASMR, but i think how i speak it appeals to that kind of content. Thanks for the great feedback
I'd replace the manual with you. We have this tumble dryer and washing machine installed, and just started using both of them. They are robust and do a top notch job. Looking at the tumbler programmes and turning on the usual default 'Cotton' is quite alarming to see 3:20! It wasn't clear to me that a sensor actually controlled the time which reduces it depending on the size of the load. I did what most people do and turned it to a programme that was 1:20. That is my complaint about the user interface which I think is a valid one, performance wise it's excellent. Thank you for your time in explaining the settings.
Thank you for all your videos. They are so informative. Would you be able to do a video on regular dryers, maybe even comparisons from one brand to another, what to look out for etc. Thank you. I really enjoy learning more about the different appliances and how to get the maximum results out of them.
I have made a video on things to consider when buying a dryer as shown here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-M0HOtev5HaM.html Thanks for the feedback
@@lords-electrical it was. We just got the newer model of this dryer and this video did help clarify a few things. Did not know that ambient temperature had an impact on drying time!
Omg here's the reason "time program warm" is on there (and thank God for that): 1 - you hung your clothes on the clothes line in the summer and want to "air" out disgusting pollen and hair and lint from the clothes for like 20 minutes before putting them in the closet. 2 - you have a very small load of say microfiber cloths that is not satisfyingly brushing up against the sensor enough (happened to me a million times) and you have to dry them a little longer to be able to fold them and put them away. After all, putting away moist fabric will cause fungus spots. 3 - you have air dried clothes that isn't suitable for tumble drying but you don't want that stiff and dusty linty clothes near your dust free home and want to "air" them for like 20-30 minutes and have fluffy, lint free clothes 👍👏 I also have time program cold on my Bosch HomeProfessional dryer and use it all the time for these kinds of scenarios and more... It's essential!
Thanks for the helpful video. After many hours comparing different brands & models I'm having one of these delivered tomorrow. On balance it seems to be the best for our needs, but one feature it lacks compared to some machines is the ability to reverse tumble. Do you think this might be a problem for large items like sheets and duvet covers where the item rolls into a ball and the centre remains undried, or will the large drum size mitigate against this? Or will we need to remove and reload the item mid-cycle?
Sometimes it can be an issue with large single items, but normally on these dryers the shape of the paddles inside the drum really helps to stop the tangling of the clothes
Normally the Cupboard dry program should be ok for thick blankets, see how dry it gets it, if it isn't quite dry then the Cupboard dry plus is the one to go for
There isn't a lot between them they are both the same company anyway. We sell more of the Siemens model as the warranty is 5 years where as most of the Bosch models are only 2 years.
Bosch and Siemens are similar same shed……. John Lewis got top of range 9kg with five year warranty…… our top of range has just died 8years old it lives in insulated not really heated but okay no problems
To clean all the fluff and crud from the condenser, the whole machine has to be dismantled (not for the faint-hearted). You also need to put a cleaner through it every 3 months ( about £20 per year).
Does the product have a weighing sensor feature? Many of the programs seem to have weight restrictions for the most efficient use but who weighs their washing first? Also what is the lowest ambient temperature at which you would still buy this machine rather than a standard condenser?
These don't have a weighing sensor built in, it is normally a guide to work to, but you are correct that nobody will weigh the washing first. If you put in a larger load than is recommended, then it will just take longer to dry. Must admit i am not too sure on the actual ambient temperature for the heat pump dryer to work at, but the lower the temperature, then the longer the programmes will take. I would normally say if it is any lower than around 10 degress C then ideally go for a normal condenser dryer. Great question though thanks.
Thank you for your reply - I have since found out that recommended use is between 15 and 30C. Below 15C and the program takes longer. The room should also be well ventilated. Our utility room is cool/around this level in winter but the electrical efficiency should recoup the premium over standard condenser in about 18 months. Add the Siemens five year guarantee and I'd agree this a sound purchase.
@@lords-electrical yes its a really brilliant machine and I have overcome the damp wool problem by using warm and set time 40 minutes quite light on power usage too so
Is this model has self cleaning condenser function? There is a same model of siemens in my country but it does not have self cleaning condenser function.
I have a Siemens Condenser dryer and it hasn´t been drying well for the last 2 years. Since it is self cleaning we can´t get into the condenser unit to see if that is clean or not. We do not want to ditch it or buy a new one because we suspect that it is not self cleaning well enough. If you or anyone have any tips as to what to do we would really appreciate it.
I have the same question, I have model iq300 and its also self cleaning and i dont k ow how to open the condenser lid cause it doesnt have a handle to open with. If u wver find an answer to this, please share 😀
