@God Cool nick. I've seen and posted on yours before. This is just riffing on "You" making that comment. Cheers. 1. Wine for teens is handled differently in Europe than oh, say, the US. Making your comment similar to scripture: person with limits and biases writing his thoughts in a god voice. 2. The whole event is in honor of your baby mama. Didn't even acknowledge that, did ya. Misogynistic asshat.

Oops. Forgot to add to #1. That omniscience doesn't jibe with not knowing about teens routinely getting wine. But it being no big. Because there, responsibility comes with it.

@@brucebaker810 My grandfather began to let me taste wine (the good, healthy kind he made here in Italy) around the age of 10 to 11. After dinner my grandfather would give me in a glass a drop of wine with half a freshly picked, fresh and juicy peach inside. After dinner I could eat the peach soaked in wine. Today, as an adult I continue to love good wine but not in excessive doses, I almost never get drunk, I use it to accompany food or to celebrate with friends and relatives but we don't get really drunk or molest or creepy.

mercotui Italian here, maybe the most interesting thing for me is the fact that for the Siena citizen (senese) their lives seem to be part of the Palio, instead of the Palio being part of their lives. the infight among contrade should be a division, but instead being specific of Siena and a tradition, unites in a rite that encompasses time and generations. they are presented to the contrada very early in their lives, and their departure is part of the contrada too.

I was there once, in the middle of the square. We could only see by holding up mirrors. Buy the seats! It was exciting even if we couldn't see much!

And, after a week of building bravado and tension, the sixteen contradi who lost... shrug, congratulate the winners and walk calmly and peacefully home. Or do they? We dunno. Because, once race was over, vid focuses only on winning side.
