Sierra is so impressive and insanely talented. But I can’t help but notice Josie and her style and aura on stage. And she’s so beautiful too. Every performance I watch of her playing that fiddle I melt. 🫠
While the rest of the world leans into auto tune and ‘programming’ so called ‘music’…Sierra and her kin are literally SAVING real music and musicianship! God bless Sierra and Co!
It's a little faster than she usually does it, because the crescendo where she sings prize of the land wasn't quite as sharp as she usually does it where it sends chills down your spine.
Saw Sierra, and her fantastic band twice in Melbourne within the last month as part of their Australian and New Zealand tour. Sierra is an incredible singer, songwriter, musician and performer, and her band are exceptional players and harmony vocalists. They were on fire during these gigs, Sierra involves everyone in the audience, and it's so great to see them loving what they're doing, and taking us with them on the journey. That voice ... From a big, big fan (who also has a huge crush on Josie Toney!) ✌️🧙♂️
That freeze-frame, Sierra Ferrell fiddling a ferocious "Fox Hunt" at FreshGrass '22, keeps being super-cool every time I see it THANK YOU to Less Than Face Productions
I used to figuratively weep for the future of Bluegrass/Freshgrass but then... Sierra Ferrel Billy Strings Molly Tuttle Sierra Hull Benjamin Tod Tyler Childers etc. Are all letting me know..."Don't worry, we got this." 👍✌️🤟🤘🤌🙏 This might be the most magnetic of a performance as I've seen from Sierra Ferrel.
This is an absolutely phenomenally rousing performance by everyone. I LOVE this song-I love all the songs Sierra sings-but my old earls can't quite make out the lyrics. If someone can upload the words, I'll be very grateful.
The lyrics are very difficult to hear and I can't find a set anywhere, below is my best guess for the lyrics in this song - Well take the path down to the river It is hunting time Clothe the kids and feed the children Though the meat is fine (Not sure about the first word here) could be "Roasting meat is fine" Don’t let them dogs out of your sight Don’t let them slip through your hand Just chase that fox down through the palms To the cold river bend (Above is repeated again) With a gun in hand and my man We go into the woods I know just what I need to do And yes it’s understood Crumbling bodies change and miss (The first word can't be right, it could be travelling maybe, it actually sounds to me like she says probaling which isn't a word) We’re going to try and make a stand No we’re not going anywhere without a prize from the land
@@steveconway1948 Thanks a lot-that helps a lot. It's an amazing song-told from the point-of-view of the hunter, although Sierra's sympathy is with the fox. The other wonderful song with lyrics that I can only partly understand is the new song "I Can Drive You Crazy." It's yet another great new sound and mood for Sierra and the band.
This song makes me feel like its 1750 ,Im runnin full speed down the Tn mountains through the Pines, half nekked with a pack of huntin dogs in the lead and the Law at my back. Just tryin to survive.. Brilliant song!!!
True country music she knows where she comes from country as corn bread west virginia dont know what this so called country music is today no heart and soul in it keep it country ❤
FYI . A violin and fiddle are the exact same instrument. The word fiddle is just use more like a slang name, mostly by musicians in the county/folk scene.
@@LessThanFaceProductions1 Her band changes all the time and she can choose from any number of members . What do you mean she's "lucky" as if no one wants the job. She could go solo like she did busking for years..
