It wasn't a nice day at Carlisle - but much better than many other parts of England and Wales were experiencing when Sierra Leone - the locomotive with an identity problem - brought the Dalesman in from Chester via the Settle and Carlisle line where, according to one friend who had travelled over the route in a regular service train, visibility was almost nil in the high fells.
Please don't inundate me with lectures on the correct name and number for the engine in question - I've heard it all many times before.
There's plenty more to see so - sitting out of the rain and wind - enjoy!
