Trudy-Paule Khan The Krios are the decendants of slaves from America, the Caribbean amoungst other places that settled in freetown. That is probably why the languages sound familiar
I'm back haha. I met a woman who is one of several families adopting kids from Salon. I may be teaching her what I've studied 💗💗💗 I sent her your vids as well. Thanks again brother.
+UhuruSasa85 this is so fascinating. I am telling you, they steal de fruits but not de roots. I'm Jamaican and this is how a lot of Jamaicans from the country speak. Especially the older folks
COOLJAZZY The origin of the language is from freed slaves from the U.S, Jamaica.... the Maroons, Canada. So you’ll find out that it is similar to what they speak in the Caribbean, and gichi in the south.
Hello there. My name is Patrick, and I run a small translation agency. We're currently in need of an English to Krio translator to work on a freelance basis and I though you might help. Please advise. Patrick
No...not exactly. I'm African American, but some of my ancestry has been traced to that region. We're from the Gullah Coast, Savannah specifically, so it makes sense.
