Construction is coming along nicely. You have not talked about the generator for your backup electricity. How much kilowatt output is required for appliances and lights? What kind of structure is required to protect the generator from the weather? Where should the generator be located so you don't hear it running?

This is a nice and big property, you can also put another structure for Airbnb. i love the gate, who ever did this is good at metal works. i will need this guy one day when i starts my own projects, As a interior decorator and event planner. Personally, i will use vinyl or vinyl plank flooring, because is soft on your feet especially for indoors. also is simple, low cost, easy to install and will last long. i am not too sure on which material was used for these tiles. it looks too hard on walking on barefoot. As for the tile colors, i prefer lighter grey or grey mixed with white, which will brighting up your house with the natural lights coming in, and also will always goes with any colors furnitures, especially with darker colors. As for the walls of the kitchen, i will use paint instead of tiles, for me simplicity is the key, which will get you that natural and clean feeling. Love what you are doing man. This is my biggest fear of trying to build in Salone. Im leaning towards shipping containers. I tired to buy land in Ghana, things take forever. That is very hard to get used to.

You asked about our opinion on the tiles. All but the bathroom I would work with. In the bathroom, the wall tiles and the floor tiles don’t complement each other. If you use the floor tiles you picked I would use a plain pattern for the walls and vice versa. Something like an off white or summer gray for the walls with the black and white floor tiles or a beige/gray floor tiles with the wall tiles.

It's coming along nicely. I thought you only have 1.5 plots? It looks like a really good size. Maybe 2 plots is enough then as I have been saving for 4 plots. Picking tiles and stuff has always been a challenge for me as it's hard to know what will look good until it's actually installed IMO

I notice how they build concrete homes vs wooden frame homes. Is there a reason why and what’s the difference?

im new here so not sure how this all started and if foundation to home was already there when you bought it but do people build homes using sustainable materials that can last? like can you make houses with sand or dirt bags etc etc im just wondering because im thinking of building in africa and am looking into sustainable materials but it seems because of rain people just build their homes one way. i also wish to see more nature! we need more green around our homes. you have a beautiful view to the mountains though wow. but this is all very intresting thanks for sharing

Construction is going well. In regards to your tiling the tile you have chosen for the bathroom wall will not look good in the bathroom and particularly not with the floor tiles that you have chosen for the bathroom. I am also currently building in SL. It has been a real struggle and headache. If you don’t mind can I please have the contact details of the person that constructed your gate. Thank you.
