It definitely lacked the grit and particulate that would be prevalent in REAL mud. Also it's quite common for a real mud puddle to be half-dry, half-wet, where the dry part has large chunks that are completely dry and gritty and crumbly, and large chunks that are semi-wet and squishy.
AKlover I don't know if that's necessarily true. There are indeed apartment is actually excellent. They've been cranking out some pretty good designs, from the MCX and MPX, to the P320, to the p365. The problem is actually in their corporate structure, their quality control, and their rush to market. They're so quick to sell things, and get in every last cent, that they're unwilling to take the necessary time to smooth out all the issues, and instead passed the problems on to the customer. This shouldn't be surprising, considering that their CEO Ron Cohen, was formerly the CEO of Kimber, where he did essentially the same thing. Took a company that was pretty well known for its quality, and completely fucked it up. and ironically, it's entirely unnecessary considering that Sig has already plenty of proven designs that we're selling quite well. It seems that they took short-term gain over long-term viability, since they have seriously damaged the reputation of their brand. It seems like they're going the Harley-Davidson Route when they're going to have 10 years of increased sales, but a decade down the line they're going to be in trouble because no one is going to consider them to be high-quality anymore. It's a real shame, considering that the old metal frame Sig guns were like hand fitted clocks
It did not have drop issues. It also did not have a massive recall. ALL strike fire pistols will go off if drop at the right angle. That includes Glocks. Sig offered an upgrade if people wanted it. All guns have issues. Sig just decided to be proactive over a common flaw in strike fires. I handle a lot of Sigs and the only issues is trigger related. the furniture is as good as anyone else's. We sell many brands and I handle them all.
The P320 was not recalled fool. If the officer shot himself he was not following the 4 rules of firearm safety. The MCX was new like many new firearms there can be recalls. Name one firearm manufacturer that has never done a recall. The 2nd generation called the Virtus is too good for a troll like yourself.
Hi i live in california, before i buy this i just wanna make sure this gun doesmt have feet attachment to allow it to walk around when im away and shoot everything at its will.
Yes. Everything malfunctions. But the best guns *virtually* don't malfunction. Something like a USP reliably goes 35-50,000 rounds between malfunctions in prolonged tests And this rifle, is in fact the rifle most tested by SO in the past few years.
Not really. Several guns are made where you'll get essentially no malfunctions from them. You can't just take your glock, have it jam every 3-5,000 rounds, and go, "OH WELL EVERY GUN HAS MALFUNCTIONS BUT GLOCK IS THE BEST"
Bob Stover oh? Please site a single source stating that. Show me a stock glock, M&P, VP9, P10, etc that's dropped at any angle and discharges. I'll wait.....
Kirk Blackson there was a video floating around a while back where a glock was dropped from a plane and still didn’t go off. I’m with you on this one, where are all videos and tests of stock striker fired handguns just going off? Because of that was the case striker fired fire arms wouldn’t be a thing.
love the virtus, but that mud test looked suspiciously like cream of wheat. not an ounce of sand in it! and whats an "accelerated rain" test? how about a "high wind" test? or a "rough handling" test? i just dont get the mud test. why does it matter ? no weapon will function for long after being emersed in the kind of mud found in the real world. they ALL balk once sand gets in the right places.
I have a 1st gen mcx and a rattler in 300blk and they both run flawlessly. My only complaint is that the triggers were garbage (for that price point). Got a Geisselle mcx trigger on sale and it's night and day. Looking to acquire a 16" 5.56 virtus upper to swap in and out next. The last 4 guns I've purchased are sigs including a mpx and a 516p and I would trust my life to them all. I don't dive in and out of mud but I run em hard
When I bought my Rattler ,the roll pins were not installed and the charging handle kept hitting me in the face when the bolt locked back ! Had a gunsmith install the roll pins and the charging handle still hit me in the face when bolt locked back ! Sent it back to Sig for fix ! Waiting for it to come back ! Happened with both sub sonic and super sonic 300 blackout ammo ! Need better quality control and or testing before shipping to dealer !
I was wanting this rifle but to many people having issues so I will pass until I see a lot of positive remarks.I am sure I will pull the trigger on one I just want it to go bang every time.
The Virtus is the Gen 2 and the kinks have been worked out. We sell them and DD for our upper line. I will take the Sig Virtus. Two calibers and three barrel lengths. Barrel changes are easy and quick.
Bedroom commandos! But on a serious note SIG is not the same company it used to be. Plus most of their products are not produced in Germany or Switzerland but here in the USA. But they still charge German made prices for the lower quality!
Y'all are going hard on SIG. I liked the video, and actually want one thanks to the video. But customer review is important. Can't ignore what people are saying.
Very powerful rifle . I love this rifle ..Indian army also love this rifle ..now India want induct technology transfer in India and 7 lakh rifle manufacture in India ..love from India ...❤️❤️👍👍
Looks awesome! Now with all those cool kits, now Sig just needs to sell the whole meal deal in a package case and optic options in all for a reasonable price!!!! Actually start to sell the modular package!! Not baby unicorns!!
in my opinion: pros really like that they made a rail system that can be internal suppressed love that it has good reliability cons hands down the ugliest rail system i have ever seen
Have these at my work place and am an armorer for them. They shoot good and are easy to clean and maintain but they are heavy and the sling system leaves a lot to be desired.
They had to make up names because they use real ballistics and physics and the firearm corporations are ok with replicas but not precise names. Not wanting to show the world their true power
