The P320-XTEN COMP is the first carry-length P320-XTEN from SIG SAUER, and it incorporates slide-integrated compensation for the ultimate 10MM carry package ideally suited for backcountry hunters, hikers and fisherman.
The XTEN slide is the equivalent length of a 4.25” barrel but is instead equipped with a single port compensator integrated into the slide and paired with a 3.8” bull barrel that allows for maximum shootability.

Over 5k rds through my EDC XTEN. Stoked about this as I want a XTEN Carry… and 20+ rd. magazines. FN nailed their 22 rd. magazines, but I bet SIG can beat that.

Nope. The tungsten grip module is structurally weaker than Full polymer and is more likely to crack with 10mm rounds. You will likely see an AXG metal frame like every other model.

I don't get it. What is it about this gun that makes it specifically for hunting? Is it just the fact that it spits out 10mm ammo?

It's not for hunting game. It's for protecting yourself from wild boar and bear while hunting. Its a high power pistol cartridge capable of dispatching great beasts of the field and woodlands. A typical hunting rifle isn't ideal for wilderness self-defense in this context, but a 10mm Auto is.

COMP stands for compensator. From Sig’s website: A compensator is a device attached to the end of a firearm’s barrel that vents the expended gas from a fired round so that the firearm is more stable. Typically installed on handguns, compensators help reduce the recoil impulse of a firearm on the shooter’s grip, reducing the so-called “muzzle flip.” This helps shooters keep the firearm lined up on target after the shot, making it easier to acquire the next target and fire more accurately.

It's nice for sure but still going to grab a Glock 20 Gen 5. More economical to be able to get a pistol and an optic and still come out cheaper than this one and have the reliability.

Now if only you sold a holster that will actually fit the f*king thing. I spent over an hour at a gun shop with a very patient sales person trying to find one... I ended up "bastardizing" one of my glock holsters to make it fit.
