Thanks for the quick review on this brother , I got one on the way and it’ll be converted to an Open build as my primary and my AXG open build will go to my back up ! Keep up the good work keeping us Range Dads in the know !
It looks interesting I guess. But kinda an odd duck right? I mean most doing competition shooting will have something hammer fired and SA right? Unless there's a striker specific competition league? I know nothing about competitions.
Carry Optics has to be DA/SA, and you have to start in DA. Limited optics would allow SA only. The most common gun in Carry Optics (at least at the top level) is the Shadow 2, but I would bet it's at most 30% of guns. The other 70% is dominated by striker fired guns; P320, Canik Rival, Glock being probably the next most common platforms in Carry Optics. The CO Nats equipment survey will probably come out in next month's USPSA mag so we'll know what the most common guns are.
Dang that is a chonky gal! I'm into it gimme that heavy metal. I was looking at AXGs both the 320 and X5 legion models but have held off; hopefully this is more in the 1k to 1300 range but time will tell. Thanks for the updates the review of that will be great I'm sure.
Still needs a Pit/Sand Viper style barrel mounted comp, not the slide comp with short barrel. With the aftermarket flooded with Sig goodies, you can build yourself a better version. It seems like Sig is following the customer market now instead of leading it. The all steel M1811 grip module is awesome when paired with a full size Parker Mountain Machine barrel and comp.
@@TheHumbleMarksman I’m just a regular shooter that shoots daily on my property. I wasn’t thinking competition gun, just a nicer shooting gun with a more modern touch. But I’m also one of the people that thinks, “it’s 2024 and not having a more reliable external extractor that doesn’t require tuning in your 1911/2011 is silly” 🤷🏻♂️ it’s just my personal point of view. Not trying to 💩 on anybody
@@TheHumbleMarksman appreciate it. Makes sense with the steel vs aluminum counterparts being the same I think I’ll hold out for the SXG module being sold separately and try out a 226 then
Great job as usual. How would this SXG compare to the DH3? I was getting ready to buy the DH3 but now I'm torn. Any suggestions, much appreciated. Thanks!
Metal framed guns are worse for recoil. I guess the overall weight helps keep the gun steady, but polymer frames flex and absorb recoil better. An all steel gun has already been in the market, it's called the 1911. A modern CZ75 is still probably the best.
Here come Glock, Heckler and Cuck fans to tell you that you should get their outdated pistols instead. Denmark police just replaced HK USP with Sig p320 x carry. Some even say Beretta is a good choice. I have Beretta 92gts, idk how someone really believes it's a good military pistol, especially with slide mounted safety. Nothing compares to Sig p320 AXG for now.
I did a video on the new 226s - it’s really nice - on Patreon right now there is a video of the XFive Legion vs Xfive - the Reserve is very like the X5L but way prettier
All the weight and cuts and it's still recoils more than my 80 year old Browning hi-power. That guy who took over Sig from Kimber is smoking crack and I've always suspected such.
@@TheHumbleMarksman americans used to mock us because out women had moustaches, but its seems that nowadays your women have dicks so who's laughing now... 😉🤣😂
