Same. I went from a Glock 43 to the Hellcat. I got the OSP model that comes optics ready for $540 which was cheaper than the Glock 43X and standard Sig P365 around me (Jacksonville, FL area). Most of the guns I shoot (aside from my older guns) have a red dot on them so I prefer having one on my tiny pistol now that I'm upgrading from one that wasn't optics ready. The Hellcat just fits my hands better and I love the grip texture. People tell me all the time that I should get an Apex trigger for my Hellcat, but the stock ones are more than great for conceal carry. I'm still hoping Springfield releases a Hellcat XL for those of us who want a slightly larger grip and barrel though. I'm also hoping Shield Arms finds a way to make S10 mags for the standard Glock 43 as well.

Hellcat is better to me than the both. Especially with the hellcat having a 15 rd mag now thst does not stick out as far as the hyve mag extensions. The 43x cost to much just like any other glock cost to much to get it where its perfect for a shooter.

I have the 43 and a 26. I would have bought the 43x in a second if it had a rail, and would use it as a bedside gun. I've shot one before, and it feels beautiful. I don't see a point in the 43x as a carry gun. Right now, in winter, i front pocket carry a smith 38 spec 642. In the spring/summer/early fall I'll belt carry the G43. Where am I going wrong? What made you decide to go with a bigger gun vs one smaller and lighter?

now you will have to update this with the quintity (is that a word) since the Ruger Max 9 just came out :) I have the 43x with the shield mags and feel it is the best option; of course I had a 43 before, as well many other glocks, so I'm a bit biased. Also, the fact there is no chance of getting hand pinched on a quick mag reload is a plus; if you've ever had a blood blister from one of this skin pinches on a mag reload you will know what I'm talking about!

Have you checked out the XDm Elite Compact? Only a quarter of an inch longer than the Glock BUT a half an inch shorter with factory magazines with a 14+1 capacity and the ability to use 19, 20, and 22 rnd magazines as back up, plus what has been described as the best striker fired trigger you could ever get, and that's straight from the box. Down side? No optics cut, if that is important to you... But, if you like Springfield XDm pistols, then you might enjoy this one.

@aaronkoch100
@aaronkoch100 3 года назад
I like the hellcat slightly over the 365 for no other reason than having 14 rds. But with the 43x getting 15 rds in the same basic size I like it the most (minus the factor of comfort of all 3). So since I like the 43x most that frees me up to not care so much about the hellcat having more rounds than the 365, making me like the 365 again over the hellcat for all other reasons being more comfortable, better trigger, and modularity. I will be making an updated video before too long once I get some magguts +2 stuff.

Such a dumb review if you want 15 rounds just carry the 19 sounds like you're a glock guy the purpose of the micro is to be small if your gonna carry it with the 15 there's no point to carrying that gun
@aaronkoch100
@aaronkoch100 3 года назад
Except for the fact that all 3 of those pistols with 15 /14 rds is still thinner and lighter than a 320 xcompact or g19. Prints less as well. Have a great day and don't forget to vote tomorrow.
@johnsmith-ds6mo
@johnsmith-ds6mo 3 года назад
@JusticeAA the point of the micro guns are for concealed carry the length of the barrel doesn't really matter because that's tucked in your pants but once you put on the 15 round mags defeats the purpose of the micro gun because the grip is what prints I just wanted to see a fair difference between the guns but as soon as he said with 15 rounds quit watching obviously just a glock fanboy and with the full mag the difference in weight really isn't much so why sacrifice barrel length for less accurate shoots when the difference isn't much just a dumb review in my eyes

Tactical, While I respect your obvious knowledge and thought process on your purchases and carry, I completely disagree about your triggers. I think the absolutely worst thing to do with a carry gun is to lighten the trigger. Yeah, you can do it with a safe queen or range/competition gun, but a heavy trigger is an important safety measure. For example, lots of people will pocket carry a semi. This is completely unsafe, as the trigger isn't heavy enough to resist any accidents, besides the fact that a pocket holster will cover part of the grip and it will also turn, not allowing an instant grip and quick draw. Another example, some people like to draw their gun in the car, and place it ready either on the seat next to them, or in an installed holster of some sort. Then they holster when they get out of the car. With such a light trigger, that is insanely dangerous and there have been a number of accidents and even people shooting themselves to death doing this. All it takes is a bit of shirt pulling on the trigger, or some love handle or whatever to kill yourself. Many police departments, from what I've read, actually increase the trigger pull of their guns they issue. Some gun nuts think this makes it less accurate, but I disagree. I've never noticed the trigger pull when my adrenaline was up and accuracy is a matter of training. For me, I don't alter any gun I have (cept for talon grips). They are nothing but a tool, the same as picking up my wallet and keys as I leave the house. I care nothing for how "wonderful" the trigger feels, or "how it feels" in my hands. A CC gun is nothing more than reliability, size and weight, and effective round to me. These days, my carry guns are smith 642, pocket carried, and belt carried (in spring/summer/early fall) G43. I'm also a middle aged fellow who's been carrying for longer than most people viewing this video have been alive. My opinion, take it or leave it.
@aaronkoch100
@aaronkoch100 3 года назад
I can totally agree with you. There's a reason for defense weapons having a longer and heavier trigger pull compared with a competition trigger. Typically a stock defensive striker fired pistol seem to be around 5-7 lbs some up to 8 lbs while revolvers have even gone up to 12 lbs uncocked. Competition triggers tend to be set really low 4lbs and less. I'm not sure if there's regulations on how low a comp trigger can be as I've seen trigger makers getting them down to 1lb or so. That being said there's a ton of da/sa guns that are carried daily cocked and loaded like say a cz75, most 1911s, and I'd say most da/sa guns for that matter that in the cocked position are set well within the 4lb range and due to being cocked have 0 pretravel in them. I tend to not want to be less than 4lbs on any defensive weapon. I will agree that I "ride the line" on this but it's just where I'm comfortable at and I keep all my guns within that range so that I stay consistent.
