Sig Sauer P938/P238 Reassembly Troubleshoot

In this quick video we will address a common reassembly issue that many operators have with the Sig Sauer P938/ P238. When you don't place the slide disassembly pin in correctly, the barrel won't return to battery and allow the guide rod to stay seated in place.
I've recreated the error and then show the correct way to do it.

It's pretty crazy that this issue is still a thing for Sig....I posted an identical video to this in 2013! Sig still didn't put anything in the manual about it to this day...o well at least there are a few short trouble shooting videos covering this now.

I, too, experienced that same reassembly issue with my P938. I watched FIVE reassembly videos and not one indicated there was a potential glitch ... until I saw yours. THANK YOU!! I screwed around with reassembling my P938 for an hour ( I mean, there is only one moving part ... lol), how tough can it be? But I failed to notice that %#@$ protruding barrel. After watching your video it took me about four seconds to properly reassemble. WOW! :)

Big thanks. I have field stripped, cleaned and reassembled my P938 many times. Then I had this happen. Kept trying but couldn’t get it right. Your video was what I needed.

I just got the Legion version of this pistol, I'm so glad your video was recommended! Thanks for sharing! Have you ever had your guide rod loosen up or come apart? Should I be concerned about it, has Sig fixed the issue on their newer pistols?

Appreciate the tip. My wife has an issue with the slide disassembly pin falling out while shooting. I was preparing to send it to a gun smith and found your video. We're going to try this and see if it resolves the problem

Great video my hands were full of balistol and didn’t want to touch my phone to watch a video how to fix that issue so I did the same thing 10 times with the same result(not sure why I was expecting a different result lol) before I washed my hands and figured out what I was doing wrong. Great vid!
