In this video we review the Sig Sauer Romeo & Juliet Optics competition. #sigsauer This optic is in FDE flat dark earth it has a 2 MOA dot and a 3x magnifier. It is Parallax free.
Sig sauer optics are totally good to go for any reasonable activity a citizen can ask of an optic, IMO. I have had great luck with several Romeo 4's and 5's to date.
Im glad you liked the music. It’s from Apple iMovie, RU-vid hit me with a copyright claim for using it even thought it’s free from Apple. I don’t make a penny from the channel, so it’s kind of a silly claim anyway.
@@firearmsaddictloveguns its just one of those things that "has" to be done. but not done. if you get what im saying. its sorta like a digital karen, but with rules. eh, one day some kid is gonna burn every chip all at once and we'll be free. but im pretty sure im not be here to see it. in the meantime, old tubbers are learing into their portals to see who they can piss off next. dont let it get to ya. them bastards.
Good combo especially with that rifle. Ended better than Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet - their batteries died. Nice coatings on the red dot. Good review!! 👍 👍
@@billdye3530 sorry I thought I had included that, but I might have edited it out by mistake. The Romeo uses just one CR1632 battery. The manual says the dot provides over 20,000 hours of continuous run time on the medium setting.
@@firearmsaddictloveguns Every once in awhile one uses an odd battery that's hard to find. Luckily most last a year or 2 but do seem to quit at the wrong time. 👍
nice review. Only Red dot I have is a original gen 1 Trijicon I sent in to them for a refurb. it now has a 10 year warranty. I have it on my CETME. I ADORE your range! Will your Mom let me come over and play? :)
@@firearmsaddictloveguns My house is not in your neighborhood but rather a continent away. I think Mine would say: "Be home by Lunch time". Don't think I could make it in time... sigh...
Jeff the manual shows eye relief at 64mm that converts to 2.5”. I had my wife to measure with me looking through the magnifier. I was able to get my eye 4” away. I asked her to measure from the rear of the optic to my cornea. It appeared that she was measuring correctly.
It is still holding up great. Actually just the other day I saw Palmetto State Armory has the black version on sale. I contemplated getting another one. If you pick one up, I’d love to hear what you think of it.
I have a cowitness set up with a red dot and iron sights already but I've also been looking at getting this combo set. I have a half inch riser so I can absolute cowitness my red dot with the fixed front sight post and a flip up rear sight. I got 2 questions, would my rear flip up sight get in the way when installing the magnifier, and how tall is the riser for the red dot in the video
Thanks for checking out the video. I pulled the rifle out of the safe and measured from the top of the pic rail to the bottom of the dot with calipers. The riser is .70”, the riser I used is the one that came with the set. I’m not sure about your rear sight and don’t want to give you wrong information. I hope this is helpful to you.
@@firearmsaddictloveguns hello again. I looked online and found the backup sight I use. It's the standard mil spec flip up by matech. Would that fit with both optic and magnifier?
I’m some aspects yes, but in others it isn’t. I think up close it’s hard to beat a dot. At longer distances I feel the LPVO shines. Even considering the magnifier.
@@firearmsaddictloveguns I'm currently running a fixed four because that's what I had, I didn't understand decent optics started at $600.00! I'll be looking for something in the used market!
