Which makes it just as easy to unlock on accident. I’ve done it multiple times and have replaced my holosun optics as well. Sucks but it is what it is.
If he had only bothered to read the owner's manual of the EPS Carry! Pick your brightness setting then hold down the + button until the reticle blinks once. It's now in lockout mode so the brightness setting can't be changed and the reticle can't be turned off inadvertently! Yes the buttons are also audible. The EPS Carry is an enclosed emitter while the Sig Romeo X is not and the EPS Carry is about $50 cheaper. The EPS Carry also doesn't have a huge protrusion and unsightly battery door on the right hand side either. 😉
They are not horrible but not good enough. I have been carrying an open dot for 5 years with zero issues of the emitter being obstructed. So for me it’s the better option. Don’t get me wrong I’ll definitely find a new home for the eps, just not on a carry.
A beautiful and impressive video. especially these days when I'm debating what to buy (romeo x or holosun). But the most beautiful thing in the video is the icarus precision grip. I live in Israel, they don't ship to my country and I heard that recently there is a polymer grip!!!
Looks damn good too imo. I personally won’t buy Chinese firearm accessories and the Romeo X looks sweet and is made in the US with US and Japanese parts. Excited to see how they go about making an enclosed Romeo X. I wonder if it will end up like the Romeo M17 (with a usable mount lol) or be more like the EPS with the rear lens farther forward and retain the DPP/RMSc footprint.

I also see your EPS Carry was rubbing on the slide. I had that issue with the Vortex Defender. According to Vortex, they have seen this on other P365/X/XL slides where the SIG factory milling isn't consistent at the front. So the curved "edges" either interfere with the optic (it won't seat flat) or like your EPS Carry, digs into the finish.
Having cut a bunch of slides for a ton of different optics...I can confidently say that vortex has more inconsistencies optic to optic than any other brand ive dealt with. I won't cut a pocket for a vortex unless I have it in my hand to measure. I'd bet good money a holsun, sig, or trijicon would bolt right onto your sig. I don't know if it's generation-to-generation differences, different lots, or just crummy qc...but vipers and venoms are all over the place. I did mount their new rmsc pattern optic (defender maybe?) on a cz I cut for my brother, and it fit like a glove exactly as it should. So maybe whoever they have doing the manufacturing for that optic in China can follow a print and do some actual qc...or we just got lucky this time.
The buttons being the reason just means this guy never read the EPS carry manual that tells one how to lock the buttons out to leave the brightness at a chosen setting.
One of the benefits of the Romeo X is you don’t need the suppressor height sights for backup. Standard height is fine. Are you putting the old ones back on? Seems the back sight blocks a decent amount of the glass.
Ehhh. I see it as a quality of life thing. I have enclosed and open. The open are annoying with all the crap that gets in there, and your view is always like 20% cruddy.
@@AIRBORNE916if ur seeing smudges on the glass ur using it incorrectly. Should be concentrating on the target not the glass. I carry my Holosun open emitter every day never have I cleaned the glass just blow a little air every couple weeks to knock the crap off it. Just my opinion closed emitters are too bulky for a carry gun. In fact I prefer iron sights telling my age lol just wanted to try the dots to see what it’s all about. But to each their own.
@@gunsbygiz9500 it’s says pick your brightness settings then let go. Next hold the + button for 3 seconds until LED blinks once. This should activate the lockout setting. To deactivate it repeat the same step until LED blinks once.
@@kellz8854 well honestly I probably did something wrong then… or I have a bad unit. I’ll follow up with holosun next week because I definitely like the optic.
Would you get the 365 with the comp or without ? Some people say the comp leaves the front of the gun dirty all the time. I’m going to get one of the 2 this weekend . Was going to get EPS carry I will check out the Sig x does it have shakeaway ? Heard you could lock the Holosun out to a setting so it doesn’t move tho. Thank you
Just no excuse for their lack of closed emitter pistol optic. Even this o e might as well be closed, with that profile. I will probably never buy another open optic.
@@agc7582 While I am personally interested in the Romeo 2, if I could figure out how to mount it to my SMG or PSD, it IS NOT true enclosed optic. It would be so easy for them to do...but they don't.
Most of yall on the open and closed train domt even focus on what the dots have going. The fact that most of yall dont probably need a closed emitter but say its not as good because its open, a big lmao.
