As a former LEO, I carried a Glock for 10 years, and have owned a Glock 22 for over 20 years, never had a malfunction. That being said, my EDC is a Sig 365XL, and it is way more comfortable in the hands. Love the channel, and your message. Thank you for your service.

I edc a p365 xmacro and have around 2k rounds through that gun without not one issue. Also my p320 xcompact has 5k plus and same. Not one malfunction. Really sucks to hear all the sig hate out there... I gave the g19 and the 43x with the 15rnd conversion and sold them both right away. That being said the 43x is about the only glock I would ever own and still not shoot or carry ever over the x macro

My G19 and 21 were bought used, both gen3's, have never malfunctioned after thousands of rounds. Just got a FN Reflex yesterday and shot it this morning for the first time and filled both mags up and emptied both. It ran flawlessly. Didn't have any feeding issues, even when loading the first round, didn't shoot low and left like many people say theirs does. Also shot 2 mags through the Garrison .45 and it ran flawlessly too. (majority of) Sigs aint 3x the price of a Glock lol. Glocks are pretty basic offerings as far as features go, a no frills model from Sig is literally the same price most the time... 43x/p365, 17 or 19/p320... Trying to compare any Glock to say a 226 Legion isn't remotely apples to apples.

I was part of the Pilot Program, in 1993, for NYPD, to transition from 38 cal revolvers . Four guns were chosen for the Program. Sig Sauer, Glock, Smith and Wesson, and Ruger... Only Ruger did not make the final Cut..Less than a thousand officers were chosen from a Department of almost 38,000 at the time.. I have carried either Glock and Sig Sauer for roughly 30 years.. Both guns have their good points...For the most part, it really comes down to a matter of personal choice.. Except one category, Accuracy.. The Sig Sauer will shoot circles around the Glock.. This is not a personal opinion, rather an observation.. Thousands of rounds fired on the Range, the Sig shooters consistently had tighter groups with less Flyer type target hits.. If you look down the line of Shooters, the tighter groups were usually Sigs. This observation was made over many years of Service, and Range Dates... Both great guns. Sig Sauer hands down more accurate

@HalfCrazy520 Месяц назад
Funny you should say that about the Sig being accurate. I don't think the Sig's mechanical accuracy is better, but between the ergos, the trigger and the sight picture, everyone seems to shoot the Sig well right off the bat. To me, the trigger reach is a big thing too. On guns like Glock, Walther, or Canik, the trigger has a long take up and it breaks all the way back against the grip frame. This puts your finger at an awkward angle and it's harder to break the trigger without moving the sights. On the sig, take up is short and after the trigger breaks you can still get the tip of your pinky finger behind the trigger. The same reason that companies like Apex offer 'flat/forward' trigger kits for guns like the M&P. My 320 is a compact in .45 ACP and I carry it most of the time, simply because I shoot it so well. Oh, and mine has never malfunctioned in several thousand rounds fired of all sorts of ammunition.

Sweet gift... Have the Tech guy go to your favorite firearms store. Purchase or borrow the Smith and Wesson 10mm 2.0 M&P. The Performance center version runs approximately 750, the standard 4.5 in barrel version approximately 650 bucks. That's pocket change for you (so spring for the Performance Center version). Give it a run and a review. If you want something that's different and fun. Plus, a GREAT hunting handgun. Take a .460 revolver Long Barrel out to your range. No, it's not CCW. It's a hunting firearm. Something different to try and review. [Make sure you get the long barrel hunting version]. Just a note of interest, "some " semi auto pistols. Don't like "hollow point" rounds and will have feed problems. Because of the angle of the "feed ramp" on the barrel. They prefer "ball" ammo. Take it to a proper Gunsmith, we can do a minor bit of stone work and cure it. If the tolerances are tight it can cause this as well. Where as a "loose" tolerance hand gun , not so tight tolerances. Will not be or not be as easily affected by the "feed ramp angle " , and feed ball or hollow point. If you ever have a handgun built for you. Your Gunsmith, should ask you, is this for carry or competition ? Or a little bit of both ? A competition firearm is built to tight tolerances and zero play, for accuracy. You will need to "shoot it in " . Or you will have jam issues and stove pipe issues. But after about 100 rounds, proper break in a proper cleaning and lubrication...not overly lubed. It will be ready. Keep in mind a competition firearm is not only built tight to specs. But sometimes just a little tighter. Because it's expected to be shot a lot. So you want to prolong the time between rebuilds as a competition shooter. A "carry" firearm, is usually a little loose or sloppy. To allow it to shoot any ammo under all conditions, environments, etc. . Without any malfunctioning. Accuracy may suffer slightly. But not terribly, unless it is extremely loose fitting... poor quality. And of course if you want it for both competition and carry. Your Gunsmith will build it some where in the middle. Not to tight, not to loose. One last note... if the firearm has been painted. Cerakote... then assembled. It to cause brief feed issues... jamming. Because of the paint, you will see the wear marks (slide to frame fit). That can easily be cleaned up and usually will 'shoot in" after a little use.

That's not even the issue. Especially with shipping lube. And especially when other guns will shoot while dry and dirty. It was most likely a magazine spring tension issue.

Very interesting point on the mags and trying to chamber the first round. My SW Shield MP 2.0 PC 45 does the same thing when you try to cycle the slide on a full mag. Very hard to seat the mag fully with a closed action and cycle to slide to chamber the first round. Have actually had the slide stop before chambering the first round whether you use the slide lock or rack the slide. I like the trigger on the SIG much better than a factory Glock one, but I would not buy a SIG because of this.

speaking to the 320 series, I have a compact in 40 that was ridiculous, wanted to throw it in the lake, it was like the slide/frame and trigger were not working together at all, very stiff and kinda like chunka chunka when racking the slide, jams of all kinds along with a trigger slap. I thought, what the hell , I have a few hundred rounds of 40 purchased when it was 12 bucks a box, lets see what happens after how many rounds. Shoots great now, it took almost 200 rounds of factory ball, but it shoots great now. 60 bucks worth of ammo, but it works great now. I never thought I would have to break in a pistol again since I got a Glock in the late 80's and got tired of breaking in my 1911's

I have same gun and factory mags. Did not have the same issues. But I did let my mags break in with them loaded for a while and lubed the mags before I shot. Just saying has to be the mags . I did not like the mags at first because of the tight fitment. After a few hundred rounds the mags were good to go. And recoil spring loosened up quite a bit. Break in yes. Same with all new sigs. Dont use grease on the slides, its better with a drop of 3in1 oil on each side or even to run it dry than to use grease. Grease causes friction and it will heat up and get tacky. Blessings in Jesus

How exactly does a lubricant grease cause friction? Actual question. Some very knowledgeable firearms people use Clenzoil gun grease on the slide rails and Johnny Glocks has a couple greases he uses. I’ve also used them for the past year and have noticed improvement instead of any friction or lag, whatever you want to call it.

I'd still standing by my choice of Glock for a 10mm, and I own 6 different 10mm's and have had many others. Out of the box reliability with the Glock is a given. Most guys are sure to come in here and tell you it that Sig will only eat certain ammo, most factory ammo is weak, but that shouldnt matter. I've ran .40 out of several 10mm's reliably including my own hand loads and factory options. I love hand loading my own nuclear 10mm rounds, it's what stays on my night stand next to the shotgun, and it my carry piece when hiking in the mountains and needing to carry in general.
