I have been using 10mms for over 20years. Great caliber and it’s nice to see its resurgence and many manufacturers making new pistols in 10mm!

I've carried a hammer for five years in the whitetail woods with a Leupold Delta Pro red dot...named it "Thumper" because it thumps things to sleep pure and simple. I grew up watching Keith Warren (of the High Road TV show) put things to sleep with the shorter G20 mostly with iron sites. Yeah, it's like carrying a brick with me but I acquired an Alaskan chest holster (a must have) for hunting everything on our farm that needs thumping. Great review. I need another one now. A local pastor was out for a walk here in the mountains of Montana a few miles from my home. He usually carried his pistol in his backpack when he was hiking with the youth group, but this day he was alone and decided to carry on his hip with one in the chamber of his Glock 10MM. A Grizzly charged him, and he was able to stop it at 6 yds.

I own two of these. Both of mine are cerakoted in OD GREEN. Mine are the Glock model 40 MOS. The barrel length isn't 5 inches. The barrel length is 6.02 inches, with a 9.02 slide. I bought mine 4 years ago from Mark's Outdoor Sports in Vestavia, Alabama. I hunt wild hogs on my property with mine. I've killed deer and coyotes with them too. One has night sights for home defense, the other has a red dot for hunting on my property. I absolutely love them. I also own a glock model 29, which is the compact carry 10mm. 10mm is my favorite handgun caliber. I shoot 200 grain hard cast ammo that I order from Underwood Ammo Company for hunting. I shoot 180 grain hollow points in my glock model 29 for self defense. I own 287 acres down here in South Alabama. There's nothing that walks on my property that can deal with the 10mm.

Love my 10mm Rock Island Tac Ultra II 1911. The feel of an all metal frame bearing G10 grips, the gorgeous 1911 trigger, packing the power of 10mm... Just a beast. Makes a man wake up at night thinking about that next range day.

Hard cast lead bullets only recommended for GEN 5 five barrels . Not recommended for Gen4 or Gen3 or Gen2 or Gen1. After shooting hard, cast bullets the barrel must be thoroughly cleaned before switching over to Any copper jacketed bullets

Definitely one of the most powerful handguns on the market. The G20 is nice, but you get the full powder burn out of the 40 this thing is an absolute beast. Once you become comfortable with felt recoil, it’s an absolute slayer. 15 rounds of that kind of power is amazing

The Springfield XD 10 mm are supposed to be just as reliable as Glocks and have a very nice light trigger

Online you can easily get ammo delivered to you, for anything, almost. 10mm is easy to find. unless I'm going into the woods for big game defense, I prefer .357 sig for the extra knock down power over the 9mm, with underwood 65 grain ED rounds moving at 2200 fps, super high energy with low recoil for follow ups, everything drops fast with one hit but with two or three, it's a blazing round for self defense issues. Everything works as long as you know how hit stuff. Guns are fun. Shooting guns with your friends even more so. Fast is fine, accuracy is final.

Lol my XDM 5.25” 10mm sits next to my bed at night. Mine loves the Buffalo bore hard cast and is very consistent out to 115 yards. It’s put down several deer. That smoke is the lead and bullet lube.

I don't know who or if I'm the only one, would love to see Chadd invite Jerry Miculek for a visit. I think that might be very entertaining. I don't know where he lives, but I'd like to see it. They could have a competition or do the distance accuracy thing. And to tell Chadd to 'get some'.

I bought my Glock 20 over 25 years ago, I love this gun. It’s reliable, accurate, powerful and versatile in the loads it’ll shoot. It even runs on 40 S&W. Recently, I installed an Overwatch Tactical trigger and a Lantac 3 1/2 pound connector. I also polished all the other points of contact while I was at it. The trigger is SO much better; lighter, crisper pull and a shorter reach to the trigger. The only way I could love it more is if it were the 6” model 40. 💪👍

Love my G40. Lone wolf arms makes a nice frame that is more of a 1911 style grip, looking to pick one of those up soon. Crazy how fast 10mm gets there.

155 grain solid cu from doubletap. Best big game round that I have found. 9mm+p muzzle energy at 150 yards. 18" deep in gell and almost an inch in diameter. 9+9=10

Great review Brother! I bought mine a couple of years ago and it’s my go to backpacking and woods gun in a Hill People Gear chest rig. Underwood has some pretty hot loads that definitely make this a thumper.

Chadd, I gotta tell you the North Forest Arms irons look to be pretty dang cool & unique, instead of the usual rehash of the same old formula over and over. I'm 71 years old, so my eyes forced me to move to red dots a while ago, but up to then I was hardcore on Night Fision iron sights all the way. If these had been on my Glocks, I still would have been forced to switch to red dots (heck I can't even focus on the front sight anymore) but I would have landed on North Forest Arms iron sights once I tried them. Dang, you can freaking tell they rock without even trying them!

I just got 1 gen 5 g20. I'm a little guy (120lbs @ 5'4") I absolutely love this thing!!!! I thought at my age (56) and all the damage I've done to myself, this would not be practical for me,but I've rarely been able to hit a fist sized rock from 60+ yards with a 9 mm! Pulled it off with the 10mm though on my first mag through this thing! I ❤it! Will keep you posted! Nuf sed!

I picked up a Glock 40 mos just like that one a few years back as well. Put a Burris fastfire on it. Pretty cool gun. Correct me if I’m wrong but I was under the impression that Glock specifically said not to shoot cast lead rounds through their factory barrels (buffalo bore for example)

Got that one and also the 29.. mine setup for hunting.. my Sherriff was over shooting it one day at my house.. he could hit 100yrds steel consistently.. he said most accurate pistol he had ever shot. My brother has one also.. love your channel.

A Glock model 20 10mm is My daily driver. I do wanna improve the sights and the trigger ( ain't no 1911 trigger fer sure) but it too is my favorite pistol ever. Awesome stuff gentlemen!

I have it, I hit 1 gallon milk jugs at 70 yards every time. I used to think pistols were worthless until I watched Hickok45 just hit everything. Went out and bought it next day, never looked back!

Also, most factory 10mm is loaded to 40S&W spec. Buy buffalo bore or reload. You can get 750 ft/lbs out of a G40.

I prefer the G29 over the G20. I load/carry/ train with G9, Underwood and Buffalo Bore; all shoot consistent and don't jam. Love the enthusiasm Chadd!

If you're gonna shot the hot stuff, do that rig a favor: KKM barrel and a 22# or 24# ISMI recoil assembly. The trigger you can get used to, but the lack of chamber support and slide slam is the real weak point. Also, the polygonal rifling doesn't like uncoated hardcast lead.

I like mine. Besides the trigger. I have a holosun 507k 2moa dot on it and have been able to stack a full mag into a pie plate at 100 yds. You da man Mr. Wright! Finally got to see my gun on TV.

Only thing you need now is a good chest rig for that G-20/G-40 10mm and also fits a G-21 in .45 ACP. The Kanai Kydex chest holsters are the absolute best made by a long shot. They are heavily used and tested to work and do it very well.

Your video is music to my ears! I am an Alaskan and live on an island with a sizeable bear population. I carry a Glock 40 with cowitnessing reflex sights and suppressor height sights. And the Sig ammo division makes well loaded ammo, Buffalo Bore, HSM, Double Tap, Underwood, Lehigh. ALL GOOD. Enjoyed the hell out of your video! Oh got the reflex sights because my eyes are getting old.

I have this pistol. No equal. Use Trijicon HD X-RAY sights. 80 to 100 yards.

Poor Boy in Arkansas just use a 22 pump. Cheap & effective if you hit the right spot. and the 22 pump is accurate as hell with no recoil. I just wish it had a little more stopping power. But its cheap and good to have around.

I love my G40! It's even better w/a nice crisp trigger and a good red dot on top. ;) I also prefer a front fiber optic and blacked out rear irons on my pistol.

Right now, I need to up my pistol game, I've been working more with my rifle and unfortunately, this year I've had a bad year of getting to the range with a sick father, who then passed away, helping warm out, and a new granddaughter that we often watch. Trouble for me is my eyes. I have a difficulty seeing the sides properly with new glasses that might help so I tried an optic. I can see the optic just fine with the glasses, but it seems much jumpier than my sites are and I think it affects my accuracy. That said I have a 10 mm CMG banshee that I use underwood ammo in it. chronograph 115 grain at fps. This is the hallway gun in my office and with a holosun circle and dot. I find it very serviceable and could shoot it quite accurately.

Walmart went from nobody working the sporting goods counter to having nothing you want.

So this is my EDC but to increase velocity even further I put a 6.5” aftermarket barrel in it. It has tighter lock up , different type of rifling and half inch longer adds 100 fps over the stock barrel. I chrono’d over 2600 fps with 60 grain rounds. That’s AR15 territory.

When I bought my Glock 20 I took it to the range and for me it was easier to fire than my Glock 17, the recoil impulse was longer but less sharp. Also dead on the money accuracy wise. Don’t shoot that type ammo just standard 165 and 180 grain.

decent 10mm ammo is harder to find. Most 10mm loads are at .40 power. Decent bedside gun, prefer HK USP .45 with mepro night sights, 5.2" expert barrel, and the OEM match trigger. 10 with good loads is a definite alternative tho...+P 185s in .45 can reach nearly 600fpe which is very sufficient

Glock 40 is made for a red dot. I hated the stock glock sights could never get use to them. I ran a sig romeo 1 pro for a while because I had one. I've since upgraded to a holosun 507c red circle dot. Acquisition is fast for close range and the red dot let's me be accurate out to 50 yards. I run the underwood 155g jhp or aac xtp round. Haven't shot hardcast yet but it's on my list. Awesome tool for sure.

I have a hammer with plenty of knockdown power, shot placement plays a bigger role than the size of the bullet . 10mm full power recoil is why it was not widely used, along with over penetration in skinny’s not bears . Shoot some underwood ammo 10mm, or tn outdoors 9 review of it 😂. That’s real full power 10mm velocity, but cracks frames like colts 🇺🇸

Had fun watching your video and really enjoyed the entertaining commentary re the G40. I'm in AK, and have had a G20 holstered across my chest for 25yrs of hunting. Now, my eyes are old and I don't have the closeup vision, so I've gone to the Crimson trace green laser. Bear defense, with 220g Buffalo Bore, is either reflex shooting at way too close up, or laser assisted 50+yes keep the fuck away shots. Irons won't cut it. Thx again.
