Where can I begin in describing this superlative performance? Soaring melody, passionate Sufi vocal, great and jazzy arrangement, superb musicianship . . . you might say this has got it all! :)
AWESOME SPIRITUAL EXPERIENCE. it has touched my soul, i cannot stop my tears. GOD BLESS YOU ALL, THE SINGER, THE POET AND THE COMPOSER WHO HAS CAPTURED IT HERE, AND OFCOURSE ALL THE MUSICIANS. LOVE AND RESPECT
The abuse towards me in my childhood and life, after so many decades made me give up singing and doing everything that I loved in life because it became just too painful I just couldn't do it anymore! But of course, I wish I hadn't, but how could I keep singing when my heart was painfully breaking!!! TO ANY HUMAN UNDER THIS KIND OF STRESS IN LIFE, DONT GIVE UP WHAT YOU LOVE... FIGURE IT OUT... BECAUSE THAT'S ALL WE HAVE NEXT TO GOD AND THOSE THINGS KEEP YOU CONNECTED TO GOD!!!
It’s painful to read about the abuse you endured and the price you paid for your dreams. And all the while you had the answer. Yes God and that He gives hope and reassurance. I saw an interview of Sanam Marvi on you tube and the painfully tragic life she endured. I wouldn’t have. Her courageous attitude is exemplary. Best wishes and respect
Sanam Marvi voice very unique in the Planet. I don’t understand her language but I know what she meant to be. Very very special singer, God bless you. Thank u.
Kavin Johnson bro hit the English caption and the translation will pop up. She sings all the poetry of the great Sufi saints or Walli Allahs (Friends of Allah) who lived and spread their love of the Divine (Allah) throughout the IndoPak subcontinent. She hails from the Sindh region of Pakistan. Hope this little info helps you a bit.

Wow! I have fallen for Sanam's voice. Just heard her a month ago. Perfect sufi voice. She goes places effortlessly. At 7:15 what a change in tempo. Great job Rohail.
I must say Sanam Marvi is carrying forward the legacy of Abida Parveen, Thanks for such a mesmerizing rendition hats off to sanam Marvi and Rohail and all the musicians.
Yes you are right. Abida G's singing make you dace with the rythm, while Sanam Marvi's singing makes your soul dance. Both are Diamonds in the crown of sufi mucic.
100 million views don't necessarily make a song a classic. This doesnt even have 500 k clicks but better than many 1 billion hit songs that are just shallow remixes.
This is more than beautiful. This is for me what some heavy metal and flamneco songs produces in my body, that energy is hard to find in any other music genders. Love this art.
I had the honor of hearing Sanam ji sing and even met her briefly. Absolutely peerless voice, and she was so friendly and humble on top of it! The crowd went wild when she sang - even the staid Pakistani and Indian officials.
thank you sanam marvi, thank you coke studio, thank you for this beautiful music. Although I live in the cold north of Europe, this music will surely melt the snow when the time comes, as it has melted my heart. Thank God, for the internet! Search and you will find!!!
Sanam Marvi could sing the phonebook and I'd be totally entranced from A to Z! I do not follow a religion, but if ever a beautiful voice and talent to use it was 'god-given', it is hers.
Voicccccccccccce: Rahail chor do sb ko, bs har Episod Sanam Marvi k havala kar do. ya bandi bht oper pohncha dati, i cant understand k mera ansu q ni rukta jaab Sanam Marvi gana start karti....
I am in awe of the talent in Pakistan. Just in awe. This women's voice touches the soul. I am fumbling for words to describe it, this was just amazing.
King1Ahmed : You are comparing 2 different forms of music ......One is classical and other is Pop It is like comparing Nusrat Fateh Ali with Daler Mehndi .......just that the sing does not mean that they are in the same league ...... When you go to a discotheque i m sure you will pick Sheela ki Jawani....
@amu12121 just below the video, right side on volume bar Awesome song and job, and thank you very much for the translation! That enables us to follow the beautiful lyrics as well... :-) All the best from Europe!
Sanam is Allah's gift to us humans. She is unbelievable. I'm just so blessed to listen to her voice. Keep going Sanam...may Allah keep you here with us for a long long time.
u cant describe the feeling after listening to the song..that is the impact of Sanam's vocals..she is just a perfect backup for the legend Abida Parveen..

Came back to this master piece in 2024 to have a relook at life. What Sanam & Rohail teaches you in this 5 minutes of immersed listening experience is divine and priceless. Pakistan has such diamonds of cultural purity and artistic brilliance ❤
Shez a sufi singer shez gona be the next ABIDA PARVEEN.. .. every time she sings sumthing new, she steps on a new level influencing our soul..amazing soul influencing voice
SANAM MARVI, Shez a sufi singer shez gona be the next ABIDA PARVEEN.. .. every time she sings sumthing new, she steps on a new level influencing our soul..amazing soul influencing voice
Sighra Aaween Saanwal Yaar’ Sanam Marvi renders this song in raag Malkauns, and as is the norm with classical music the song goes through various phases of expression. Marvi uses her powerful vocals to render the song atop the bluesy backdrop created by the House Band, and conveys her love for God in the words of Sachal Sarmast and Sultan Bahu." Excellent Job Rohail for arranging this amazing performs by Sanum
