I'm back home and enjoying fishing one of my local creeks. The water is low and cool after a cold and dry start to the season so I took the chance to sight fish with a dry fly and nymph.

Just got into fly fishing through some friends and your videos! Hi Tom, in a word HELP, I have always struggled with dry dropper fishing as my rivers vary so much from fast to slow from ankle deep to 10ft and all in 25yds , my biggest problem is that a 3mm tungsten bead always seems to pull my dry under and even a wool indicator. Using a 2.5mm bead doesn't get the nymph down but doesn't pull the dry under either so do you have a sloution I could try ? Thanks

What size / weight bead did you have on when you got that nice one the glassy slow water at 2:50? I've been enjoying euro dry dropper but struggle in spooky water as I would usually use a unweighted nymph but can't cast that with a dry on the euro leader

It would have been either a 2mm or 2.3mm. I can’t remember as it was ages ago
