Nymphing is crazy productive but when that first trout hit your dry fly at 2.02 my heart jumped. Dry fly is great fun.... Great video again

Excellent fishing and advice. I've been wanting to go to the Steavenson River for two years-but have been stymied. Maybe I can go in the next few weeks. I'm from Sydney. It''s perfect for a mediocre angler like me-and so beautiful. :-)

I've seen you use a dry fly on the line with a nymph before, and in those cases you never died off the dry. Was it edited out, or does it not get soaked further up the line? Thanks - an aspiring fisher

Great video Tom, just wondering is there a reason you fish a 9 foot 3 weight on a smallish stream like that, over a shorter 3 weight? Is it for line control/extra reach, etc ? Cheers

Do those Cortland SYLK lines suit shorter rods? I currently use a 3# 7'6" rod for rivers and creeks.

I'm really liking your videos mate. They're really good. I've been fly fishing in Perth, Western Aus for a few years now and must admit that our fishery is not all that good due to our summer heat. Fish are stocked and have a limited season and its open to bait fisherman and lures so it is hard. However, when the trout are released into our dams or lakes they spread out in the lakes and tributaries. Do you have any advise for fishing these kind of lakes and where you would start? What flies you would use if you were fishing these kind of lakes and what you would look for for prospecting where the fish would be e.g. dam wall, drop offs, weedy banks. I'm mostly land based but have a small electric motor for fishing the lakes. Would appreciate your advise or any tips you may have

I know that there is easy road access to the Steam]venson and similar ric-vers. Its just me and small rods-is it OK for me to fish along the roads and nearby?
