Aside from the “fish action” I honestly appreciate the effort you put into your productions….The intro to this was just awesome. Would love to see you take you new found skills to another impoundment where you might tangle with some cod, yellow belly and other types of fish. Keep up the great work Josh.

man who knew the old carp could be so finicky! thats some insane fly action that most people would never even know about or experience and it gets some pests out of the waterways as well. loved the early morning cinematic stuff, a bit like old timmy turtle i reckon although your bread cutting might need some work haha keep it up man its so cool to see your channel getting better every day

josh i love your videos so much I think it would be really cool to do another new and improved gear run down I think it could help lots of people including myself on what lures and combos you use as you catch lots of fish it will help people enjoy water and fishing more just an idea but I think many would enjoy it thankyou😃

Wow mate, those bloody carp just keep getting bigger and bigger. Luckily up here we don’t usually get carp but one thing we get is tilapia 💀 just as bad as carp if not worse. I am going to go fly fishing next weekend at my local estuary. Big Barra in mind. Cheers!
I'm curious how you are coping with the transition between the convenience of quickly busting out a baitcaster or a spinner and going the fly route Josh? Is the juice proving to be worth the squeeze?
It definitely out fishes spins and bait caster on some days. Bait caster is obviously more conventional. But I think the thing I like more about fly is you earn every fish you catch. It’s a lot less luck and alot more skill. I know I can get fish on bait caster and spin and I enjoy a good challenge. So that’s when the fly comes out. Super fun and rewarding

Hey Josh, brilliant vid, Something that might help with the tangles when trying to get ready for a cast. Leave the fly on the hook keeper, strip the required line off the reel and then pull the fly to bring the line through the guides. What's to go with Miller Rods, I've tried ringing and leaving a message no response, the same with emails. Is there another way to get in contact with them?
I think if I was fly fishing there I would be using either my Tibor custom reel or my Hardy Hotspur Cascapedia reel No 001, on either my limited edition Orvis 1856 Bamboo rod or my Oyster custom. I would have the reel fitted with a silk line and only use. The better the equipment the more likely fish are to bite..........

I have a question but its not about this video, whould you recommend to use miller rod grub freak to fish a top water lure like slippery dog or mmd splash prawn? cuz im looking for a rod to flick plastic lure mainly, but also im inlove with top water lure these days. i wish i could bring this awesome aussie brand rod back to hongkong and show it to my friends!

Hey mate, is that on the south coast. I am in the Hunter Valley, we unfortunately have some monster carp. I have never fished for them but will give it a go to get rid of a few, also is that a Jitterbug lure you caught the bass on.

Very worth. They are super light with high end guides. If you go with one of the $600 rods the guides are titanium and don’t rust. I had a t-curve shimano rod. $500 and didn’t have titanium guides👎Also low quality cork that held water and changed colour in a month. Won’t have those issues with a millerod
