Sightreading Challenge But With a 400IQ Twist

Joke for bored musicians: When Beethoven passed away, he was buried in a churchyard. A couple days later, the town drunk was walking through the cemetery and heard some strange noise coming from the area where Beethoven was buried. Terrified, the drunk ran and got the priest to come and listen to it. The priest bent close to the grave and heard some faint, unrecognizable music coming from the grave. When the magistrate arrived, he bent his ear to the grave, listened for a moment, and said, "Ah, yes, that's Beethoven's Ninth Symphony, being played backwards." He listened a while longer, and said, "There's the Eighth Symphony, and it's backwards, too. Most puzzling." So the magistrate kept listening; "There's the Seventh... the Sixth... the Fifth..." Suddenly the realization of what was happening dawned on the magistrate; he stood up and announced to the crowd that had gathered in the cemetery, "My fellow citizens, there's nothing to worry about. It's just Beethoven decomposing."

Now that they both have glasses, Eddy and Brett should do a sightreading without their glasses challenge.

The last time I tried a "sight reading challenge" I was rickrolled by my orchestra teacher

I’m a choir teacher. I’m stealing this game to do with my choir students when we get back to school. I love sight reading games! This one is also a good conversation starter about the importance of practicing a new piece at a slower tempo/is faster tempo always better? So many possibilities! What a great idea!

eddy is such a good sport- when he played something questionable, he let brett win the round but when brett played weird notes on the last one, he let him continue without using his second attempt card

Anyone else think that the challenges are getting much more elaborate and fun to watch? Maybe it’s because there running out of basic challenges but I like these type of elaboration on challenges showing how good of musicians Brett and eddy really are

Guys, I really want to say how much my passion for the classical music increased because of you two. I play the electric and acoustic guitar, and when I was younger, I learned the basics of trumpet and just the basic of musical theory too. Your channel just brought me back the pleasure of playing and listening to music, and I’m really grateful. I have now a intense interest in violin, and I thinking of buying one when I have the enough money for it. I didn’t have that pleasure for music since I entered college. The third piece they played I played on Alto Saxophone for this year's solo and ensemble! If I'm correct it should be Sonata by Henri Eccles! What they played was the second movement. It gave me such a strong sense of nostalgia. I loved that piece so much and I can't really play it again for another solo and ensemble. 😭😭 I love it so much.

I have an idea for a sightreading challenge... it’s like the Poker Face challenges with the food on REACT. Basically, there are two pieces. One hard one, and an easy one. One for Brett, one for Eddy. These pieces will be kept in a box or something so they cant see which one they have. One of the two violinists will be allowed to keep or switch their box/hidden piece, and the other can look at their piece and try to manipulate the other into picking the bad one. Idk it seemed fun to me so I hope you like the idea! Like so they can see if u think it would be fun

Moral of the story: never cheat on your perfect pitch friend.
