Y'all complaining about it, Invites were sent out to all the top teams in Texas and only D'ville responded. They others didn't want anything to do with Mater Dei. You all talking like oh go play this and that, they all were asked and all declined. The only team in Texas to have the balls to step up was D'ville.

Because Bosco and MD have amassed the best players under absolutely excellent coaching staffs. Both teams go two levels deep, so you aren't seeing the field if your football talent AND IQ aren't top flight. Most schools don't have the depth that these two squads have. Huge drop off from MD/Bosco to Cali next big team, Centennial. Then another drop off to the next tier which includes Los Alamitos, Mission Viejo, and maybe another Trinity League team.

Duncanville is an excellent team, but they cannot compete on MD level. As for the stupid private school vs public school BS. There are about 12-15 private schools in Cali less than an hour away from each other (So the do recruit against each other), If there was just 1 or 2 then you could make the argument that MD gets all the best players. Texas schools are no different than any other schools. Their top teams get the best of their area also. MD has to compete against the very talented public schools in the area also. They barely beat Centennial 21-16 and Centennial is public. Duncanville will still always be a very good school with excellent sports teams. Look what they did in Basketball. National title.

The only difference between MD and Duncanville is superior coaching. I would argue even that DV is probably more athletic, man for man. But with the buy in MD's coaches get from the players, that's what makes the difference.

What?! DVille SMOKED SLC this season, 35-9! NS needed a late TD to squeak by DVille 17-10, when MD embarrassed them 42-3 ON THEIR HOME FIELD. MD would have embarrassed anyone in TX this season. Now Allen's gonna get all that smoke from Bosco next season, but at least Allen and DVille have the backbone to actually schedule the best. If Westlake and NS want to prove they're actually the best, go ahead and step up. MD and Bosco will come to you, so no excuses. No way NS or Westlake make the call, though. No guts, no glory.

MD is a freakin academy,, that’s where you take these kids that have real talent and put them on a team with other kids that have the same talent,,, Duncanville is a high school with kids in the Duncanville area,, some have talent and some don’t,,, just like NS or Westlake,, just high school kids from the area,,, so basically it’s like bringing an all star team to play a regular team,, what do you think is gonna happen,, the outcome is in the video,, these two schools are not playing on the same level,, Texas doesn’t have these types of academies,, just high schools

I was at that game a few weeks ago in Arlington, TX and it was a real dog fight from start to finish. The Mustangs came out on top yet again, so I feel that they and Austin Westlake would have legitimate shots at taking down Mater Dei at some point.

@@BJ-if7yh Actually, it does. In recent years, North Shore has maintained a fierce rivalry with Austin Westlake on the field. They even managed to defeat them in one of their two previous encounters during the playoffs. As for the Chaparrals, don't be so sure that the Monarchs would simply steamroll them. Both the Mustangs and Chapparals have more than one state title to their names and they didn't become champions by slacking off. Unless you've seen footage of their games, then you shouldn't be so quick to jump to conclusions.

not true at all lol literally this is a recruited high school team, there competitors are schools where like lebrons kid etc goes. whereas dville is just a normal dallas public school but on the bad side of the city. that has kids with tons of issues in general like all dallas public schools. its not like there's a school in dallas where all the best football players go.. and over 70% of the game was actually close af, 1 td game for the majority....

Just like I see that Cali has better coaching but the only way they can compete out of state is with private schools. Look I have no problem with Cali at all, I just see things as they are.

Im from Cali an ima be honest most private schools suck bcuz there more interested in academics more so than sports but then you have very few private schools that devote themselves to sports an dominate

@@kali7602 This. People see SJB and MD (and DLS to a lesser degree now) and think that the whole state is full of stacked teams. It couldn't be farther from the truth, especially up here in NorCal. I would say that our Top 5 (MD, SJB, DLS, Cen10 and Servite) can play with anyone in the country but after that there is a huge drop off. Duncanville would crush most CA teams. I am a Cali homer, but most teams would not even come close to the athleticism of a DV.

NorCal definitely is our challenge during state lol down here in SoCal we got some great teams but we get a lot of Special individuals especially the running games out here has been insane with these new class of running backs an DBs

@@kali7602 Yep DBs especially these days are just built different than from back in the days. Prime athletes are playing DB first instead of being switched to the position because of bad hands😂. Now you have guys like Ricks and Domani Jackson who probably started off as DBs in peewee ball.

You have to know the difference between an academy and a regular high school,, if you child has real talent , then you put them in an academy with other kids that have the same talent like MD,,, Duncanville is a regular high school with regular kids from the Duncanville area,, it’s not playing on the same level,, know the difference
